Placemennt of your 4G100W LTTE WiFi Rouuter
Just like your mobilee phone, the 4G100W
W LTE WiFi Router’s location will affect its signal strength to Mobile Broadband Basse Stations (Cell Towwers). The data speedd achievable from thee
4G100W LTE WiFi RRouter is relative to thhis signal strength, which
w is affected by mmany environmental faactors. Please keep in mind that the 4G1000W LTE WiFi Routerr will need adequate signal
strength in order to provide Internet connnectivity whilst choossing a location to plaace your 4G100W LTEE WiFi Router.
Similarly, the wirelesss connection betweeen your 4G100W LTEE WiFi Router and yoour WiFi devices will be
b stronger the closeer your connected wirreless devices are to your 4G100W LTE WiFi
Router. Your wirelesss connection and peerformance will degraade as the distance bbetween your 4G1000W LTE WiFi Router and
a connected devicees increases. This may or may not be direectly
noticeable, and is ggreatly affected by the individual installatioon environment.
If you have concernns about your network’s performance that might be related to rrange or obstruction factors, try moving thhe computer to a possition between three to five meters from thhe
4G100W LTE WiFi RRouter in order to seee if distance is the problem.

RIP
RIP (Routing Inform
mation Protocol) is useed for advertising rouutes to other routers. Thus all the routes inn the router’s routing table will be advertissed to other nearby roouters. For example, the
route for the router’ss Ethernet subnet could be advertised to a Router on the PPP interface side so thaat a Router on this network will know how tto route to a device on
o the router’s Ethernnet
subnet. You will havve to add the routes appropriately
in the previous
Static Routees section – see Adding Static Routes.

is that the virtual server re-directs a partticular service/Interneet application (e.g. FTTP, websites) to a paarticular LAN client/seerver, whereas DMZ rre-directs all packetss (regardless of services)

The Periodic Ping RReset Monitor configuures the router to trannsmit controlled ping packets to 2 specifieed IP addresses. Shoould the router not recceive responses to thhe pings, the router will
reboot.
This works as followws:
1. After every “Periodic Ping Timer” configured interval, the router sends 3 coonsecutive pings to the “Destination Addrress”.
2. If all 3 pings fail the router sends 3 consecutive pings to the “Second Add ress”.
3. The router thhen sends 3 consecutive pings to the “Destination Address” annd 3 consecutive pinngs to the “Second Address” every “Period

4. If all acceleraated pings in step 3 above
fail the numbeer of times configuredd in “Fail Count”, the router reboots.
5. If any ping suucceeds the router reeturns to step 1 and does not reboot.
Please nnote: The “Periodic Ping Timer” should never be set to a value less than 60 secondds; this is to allow the router time
to reconnnect to the cellular neetwork following a rebboot.
How to disable the Periodic Ping Monitoor
