Installation Guide
1. Verify the package contents.
2. Decide where to place the gateway.
Note: For best WiFi coverage, identify a relatively central location within the
premises. Ensure that the gateway can be conveniently wired to the broadband
router and is close to an AC outlet.

3. Install the gateway in the proper orientation:

Package Contents
Mount vertically if most devices are on the same floor as the gateway.
Place horizontally (after removing the stand) if the devices and gateway
occupy multiple floors.

a. Connect an Ethernet cable from one of the open ports of the broadband
router to the WAN Ethernet port of the gateway.
b. Pull wires gently to verify that gateway connections are secure.
c. Plug the power cord into the gateway and then plug the power adapter into
an AC outlet.

5. Wait until the Power and Devices LEDs on the gateway become solid green
(this could take a few minutes).
6. To begin the installation process, visit http://www.example.com and use
installer credentials to log in to the Example system.

Troubleshooting
Use the LEDs on the front of the gateway to determine its status and to troubleshoot
its operation.
Description
Devices
• Solid green: ZigBee sensors are paired with the gateway. No trouble
detected.
• Blinking green: The gateway is looking for ZigBee sensors to pair with the
gateway.
• Amber: One or more ZigBee sensors report a trouble condition.
• Off: No ZigBee sensor is paired with the gateway.

FCC Requirements for Operation in the United States
Power
• Solid green: WiFi cameras are connected to the gateway, but are not
currently being viewed.
• Blinking green: WiFi cameras are connected to the gateway and are
currently being viewed.
• Off: No WiFi camera is paired with gateway.
• Solid green: The gateway is activated and connected to the service
provider.
• Blinking amber: The gateway is not activated with the service provider
and is not connected to the server, but is connected to the router.
• Solid amber: The gateway is activated with the service provider and is
connected to the router, but is not connected to the server.
• Solid red: The gateway is not connected to the router.
• Solid green: The gateway is powered on.
• Blinking green: A firmware update is in progress. Do not unplug the
gateway.
• Off: The gateway is powered off.
To return the gateway to its factory settings, use the end of a paper clip or some other
similar object to press and hold the Reset button on the back of the gateway for at
least 15 seconds. All four LEDs simultaneously flash amber three times. The gateway
resets and returns to the factory settings.
This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. This equipment should be
installed and operated with minimum distance of 20 cm between the radiator and your body.
This transmitter must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.
