Component Checklist
To protect components from damage, they may be packed in the
slyroloam tray out of plain sight. Please search styrofoam tray and
remove all of the components listed below.
IMPORTANT!
The included New Bright 9.6V Nicd battery pack
is NOTcharged prior in shipment
and must be charged before the llrst use.

Charging the Battery Pack
IMPORTANT!
The 95V Nicd batlery pack Is NOT charged prior to shipping and must be charged before the lirst
use. For best results be sure to charge battery pack 8 hours belore using. In addition, when
charging battery pack lor the 2nd time. also charge battery pack lor 8 hours. Alter the initial
2 charges, battery packs need only 4 hours to fully charge.

1. Insert the supplied 9.6V NiCd Battery Pack securely into the charger as shown above. Make
certain that the (+) and (—) on the Battery Pack match the markings on the Charger.
2. Plug the Charger into a standard 110/120V indoor electrical outlet,
3. Allow the Battery Pack to charge tor a minimum ol 8 hours on the initial two charges.
Subsequent charges require only 4 hours.
4. Remove Charger and battery from outlet. Lift release lever on the side 01 the Charger to remove

5. This power unit is intended to be correctly orientated in a vertical or floor mount position.
NOTE: Battery Packs will become warm after charging or during use. Make certain to allow the
Battery Pack to cool before recharging. Charging a warm Battery Pack will greatly reduce it's lite,
ATTENTION PARENTS:
- The battery charger & battery pack need to be periodically examined lor potential hazards.
Any potentially hazardous parts need to be repaired or replaced.
Battery Pack Installation In Vehicle
1. Slide supplied POWER CHARGE Battery
into battery compartment and look into place
by turning compartment luck (as shown).
2. Turn compartment lock and slide the pack
(as shown) to release.

. Locate the Transmitter Battery Compartment, wtich is on the back of the
Transmitter.
. Move the Battery Compartment Lock towards the Battery Compartment
and remove the Battery Compartment Cover.
. Insert 2 “AA" batteries. Make certain the plus (+) and minus (—) markings
on the batteries are in the same position as the plus (+) and minus (—)
markings inside the Battery Compartment.
. Replace Battery Compartment Cover making certain that the Battery
Compartment Lock has “snapped" into the locked position.
Note: When replacing Transmitter batteries:
Do not mix old and new batteries
Do not mix alkaline, standard or rechargeable batteries
Use alkaline batteries only

1. Locate the vehicle
antenna wire, which
leads through an
opening on the top of
the vehicle.
2. Slide the vehicle
antenna wire through
the Vehicle Antenna
Tube. Insert the tube
into the opening.
3. Tie a simple knot in the
antenna wire to hold
the Vehicle Antenna
Tube in place.

Each vehicle and transmitter is marked with either 27MHz or 49MHz. Atransm'nter at one trequency cannot
control a vehicle of another lrequency. Avoid operating this vehicle within 100 teei at another vehicle at the same
irequency. If two vehicles of the same trequency are operated in the same area, loss at control will occur.

Trouble Shooting and Support
90% of all difficulties experienced with radio controlled vehicles
are due to either weak batteries or batteries that have been installed incorrectly.
When batteries become weak, the vehicle may not necessarily stop complete y
but may exhibit slow response, slow speed or erratic behavior.
Problem — Vehicle does not move or moves slowly.
-Make certain there are fresh alkaline batteries in the transmitter and that they have been
installed in the correct position.
-Are the (+) and (—) markings on the alkaline batteries in the same position as the (+) and (-)
markings in the Transmitter Battery Compartment?
-Has the Battery Pack been installed in the vehicle?
-Has the rechargeable Battery Pack been fully charged?
-Are the (+) and (—) markings on the Battery Pack in the same position as the (+) and (—)
markings in the Battery Compartment?
-Are the metal contact tabs touching, rusty or dirty in the transmitter?
-Make certain that the vehicle ON/OFF switch is in the "ON" position.
Problem - Vehicle moves by itself or exhibits low range trom the transmitter.
-Make certain there is no outside radio interterence in your area. The best way to test this is to
take the vehicle as tar away from radio towers, electrical lines or tall buildings as possible. It
the vehicle operates correctly in the new area, radio interference was the problem.

Caution
Do not recharge Battery Pack if it is Warm to the touch. Allow Battery
Pack to cool before recharging. Recharging a warm Battery Pack will
shorten the lite of the Pack.
Do not recharge a Battery Pack if it appears to be damaged or leaking.
Always unplug Charger when not in use.
Always remove Battery Pack from Battery Compartment when not in use.
Do not dispose batteries in fire. Leakage, explosion and personal iniury
may occur.
Dispose ot NiCd Battery Pack properly.
Do not attempt to disassemble Battery Pack or Charger.
Do not use Battery Charger for any use other than instructed in this
booklet.
Recharging batteries should be done by an adult.
