Charging the Battery Pack
IMPORTANT!
The included 9.6V NiMH battery pack
is NOTcharged prior to shipping

1. Plug the transformer into a standard household 110/120V electrical outlet.
2. insert the 9.6V NiMH Battery Pack into the Charging Cradle as shown above.
Make certain that the Plus (+) Minus (—) markings on the Battery Pack match the
markings on the Charging Cradle.
3. The Charge Status Indicator Light will glow red. After approximately four hours
the Indicator Light will glow green. The green light indicates the Battery Pack is fully
charged. Charging the Battery Pack for a longer period will not increase the Battery
charge life.
NOTE: Battery Packs will become warm after charging or during use. Make certain
to allow the Battery Pack to cool before recharging. Charging a warm Battery Pack
will greatly reduce its life.
The Battery Pack, Charging Cradle and Transformer should be periodically
examined for wear or damage. Use of a damaged Battery Pack or Charger can be
hazardous.

1.Caretully lay the vehicle on its” side and locate the battery compartment which is
on the bottom of the vehicle chassis.
2. Rotate the Battery Compartment Lock
so it is in the “open“ position.

3. Take a moment to examine the Battery Pack. Me‘a’ “News
You will notice that it has three “L" shaped notches
on the back part of each side. These notches lock
into identical notches in the Battery Compartment.
You will also notice two Metal Contacts on one end.
When The Battery Pack is properly installed into the Battery Compartment these
Metal Contacts will touch two metal contacts in the Battery Compartment.

4. Insert the fully charged 9.6V NiMH Battery Pack into the Battery Compartment so
that the Battery Pack “L" Shaped Notches lock into the “L" Shaped Notches in the
Battery Compartment. The Metal Contacts on the Battery Pack should be touching
the Metal Contacts in the Battery Compartment.
5. Replace the Battery Compartment Cover and rotate the Battery Compartment
Lock so that it is in the locked position.
Transmitter Battery Installation
1. Locate the Battery Compartment Battery Compartment

Battery Compartment Lock has “snapped” into the locked position.
Note: When replacing Transmitter batteries. Use only Alkaline batteries.
Do not mix old and new batteries.

Problem - Vehicle does not move or moves slowly.
- Make certain there are fresh alkaline batteries in the transmitter and that they have been
installed in the correct position.
The plus (+) and minus (—) markings on the alkaline batteries should be in the same
position as the plus (+) minus (—) markings in the battery compartment.

- Make certain that the Battery Pack has been installed in the vehicle.

“ON“ position.

- Make certain that the controller is not in the lock mode. There should be sound emanating
from the vehicle when the transmitter is in drive mode.
Problem - Vehicle moves sporadically by itself.
- Make certain there is no outside radio interference in your area. The best way to test this
is to take the vehicle as tar away from radio towers, electrical lines or tall bulldlngs as
possible. It the vehicle operates correctly in the new area, radio interference was the
problem.
- Make certain that the Transmitter Antenna is securely attached to the transmitter.
Problem — Vehicle exhibits low range from the transmitter.
- Make certain the transmitter antenna is securely mounted to the transmitter
and fully extended.

Do not recharge Battery Pack it it is Warm to the touch. Allow Battery
Pack to cool before recharging. Recharging a warm Battery Pack will
shorten the lite of the Pack.

Always unplug Transformer when not in use.
Always remove Battery Pack trom Battery Compartment when not in use.
Do not dispose batteries in tire. Leakage, explosion and personal injury
may occur.
Dispose of NiMH Battery Pack properly.
Do not attempt to disassemble Battery Pack, Charging Cradle or
Transformer.
Do not use Battery Charger for any use other than instructed in this
booklet.
Recharging batteries should be done by an adult.
ATTENTION PARENTS:
The Battery Charger & Battery Pack need to be periodically examined for potential hazards
and that any potentially hazardous parts be repaired or replaced.
This scale vehicle was designed and engineered as a highly detailed replica of the real
automobile. To avoid damage to the accessory parts and painted finish, take a moment to
review the following performance checklist.

is NOTcharged prior to shipment
and must be charged for eight hours
before the first use.
Subsequent charges take only
four hours.
The vehicle will perform best on a flat area such as pal ound or parking lot.
The vehicle will perform on flat low cut grass or tightly packed dirt areas.
