ThePrinciplesofFlying
TheNineEaglesHelicoptersarecounterrotatinghelicopters.Unlikeaconventional

maintainstability.Whilecounterrotatinghelicoptersbydesignhavemorecomplex
drivesystems,theyaremorestable,easiertocontrolandmoreefficientas100%ofthe
rotorsenergyisusedtoproducelift.Thefeaturesofacounterrotatinghelicoptermake
theHelicoptersaperfect,stabletraininghelicopter.
FlyingEnvironments
Whatyouneednowisaspaciousroomwithoutanyobstacles.Makesurethattheairis
calm.Draftscausedbyopenwindows/doors,airconditionersorfansshouldbeavoided.
Werecommendaflat,smoothflooronwhichtheSpeed/NightEaglecanslide,soft
carpetisnotagoodchoiceforflying,becauseitcouldhooktheskidofthehelicopter
andcausedamage.
ATTENTION:ErrorsandcarelessnessinassemblingandflyingtheSpeed/NightEagle
mayresultinseriouspersonalinjuryanddamagetoproperty.Nevertouchthespinning
rotorbladesoranyotherexposedmovingparts.

OperationProcedures
1.PlacetheSpeed/NightEagleinthemiddleoftheroom,youshouldalwayssand
approximately2m(6ft)fromthehelicopterandbehindthetail.Makesurethehelicopter
andtransmitterhavebeensetupandadjustedinaccordancewiththishandbook.
SwitchtheTransmitteron,connectthebattery,andcheckoncemorethattheservosare
operatingcorrectlybeforeproceeding.
2.Nowyouarereadytostartlearningtofly.Thecontroldiagramsonthenextfew
pageswillhelpyoutrimandflythehelicopter.
3.InitiallyyoudonotneedtoworryabouthowtooperateyourSpeed/NightEagle
skilfully.Throughpractice,youwillbecomemoreconfidentoperatingthecontrolsand
adjustingthethrottle.Whenyourfingersrespondtothemovementsofthehelicopter
spontaneously,youarereadyformoreadvancedflying.Pleasenotethedirection
describedhereareifyouarefacingthetailofthehelicopter.
4.PushthethrottleupgraduallyuntiltheSpeed/NightEaglestartstobecomelight
andthencarefullymovethethrottlestickfurtheruntilitliftsoff.Observingthe
helicopter’sresponse,correctanymovementifnecessary.Don’tflytoohigh,keepits
heightabovetheflooratabout1m(3ft).Ifthereisanyinstability,shaking,orifthe
helicopterisoutofcontrol,pleaselandatonce.Theonlythinghathelpsatthisstageis
topracticeandthenpracticesomemore.
5.TrytocontroltheSpeed/NightEagleusingthesmallestpossiblecorrective
commands.Thesooneryounoticeamovementandrespondtoit,thesmallerthe
correctivemeasuresarerequired,andthesmallertheflyingdeviation.Bepatientasit
doestaketimetolearnalltherequiredskillstocontrolthehelicopter.Alsuccessful
pilotshavemasteredtheskillofflyingthroughlotsofpractice.
6.Onceyourflyingtimeincreasesandyouarecapableofcontrollingyour
Speed/NightEagleintheair,youcanslowlyincreaseitsheightofftheground.The
helicopterwillbecomemorestableasitisflownalittlehigher,thisisbecauseitleaves
itsowndownthrustturbulence.Ifyouflythehelicopterinasmallroomyoumayfind
afterashorttimethatitfliesunevenlyandunpredictably.Thisisbecausethehelicopter
quicklymovestheairintheroomandcreatesaturbulentenvironment,ifthisoccurs,
landandtakeabreakforaminute,theairwillcalmdownquickly.Whenyouareableto
