Traffic Safety
Avoid using your Obi phone while driving.

Near Explosives
Turn off mobile devices in or near areas where
flammable or explosive materials are stored

Emergency Calls
To make an emergency call your Obi phone
must be turned on and in an area where
there’s network coverage. Dial the national
emergency number and press “Send”. Explain
exactly where you are and stay on the call
until help has arrived.
Near Sensitive Electronics
Your phone may cause interference
when used near TVs, radios or automated
office equipment.
While Flying
Mobile devices can cause interference with
aircraft equipment. Please follow all aircraft
and crew regulations, and power off your Obi
phone or select Airplane Mode when directed.
Working Temperature
The working temperature for your Obi phone
is between 0º and 40º C. Using the device
outside of this range may cause malfunction
and lead to long-term damage.
In Medical Facilities
Mobile devices may interfere with the normal
operation of medical equipment. Please follow
all medical facility regulations, and power off
your Obi phone or select Airplane Mode
when directed.
Safe Volume Levels
To prevent possible hearing damage, do not
listen at high volume levels for long periods.
Prolonged exposure to high volume levels
through your handset or ear buds/headset
can damage your hearing. Exposure to high
volumes while driving may cause distraction
and increase your risk of an accident.
At a Fuel Station
It’s not advisable to use mobile devices at
fuel stations.
Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) Information
Your Obi phone is a radio transmitter and receiver.
It has been designed to comply with applicable
safety requirements for exposure to radio waves.
The radio wave exposure guidelines employ a unit of
measurement called Specific Absorption Rate (SAR).
Maximum SAR for this device is as mentioned:
Head SAR: 0.399 Watt/Kg for 10g
Body-worn SAR: 0.908 Watt/Kg for 10g
Head SAR: 0.541 Watt/Kg for 1g
Body-worn SAR: 1.22 Watt/Kg for 1g

or recycler, or Obi service centre when

The battery in your Obi phone will need a full charge
before using the device. Make sure to fully charge the
battery before using the device.
Choose a Rate Plan Wisely
Apps or services that send or receive data over a
cellular network can result in additional charges.
Before using your Obi phone, we strongly recommend
you discuss your service plan and data billing rates
with your mobile carrier.

Some countries have strict laws about how and when
you can record phone conversations and share your
own or someone else’s personal data. Learn the privacy
laws in your region before you use your phone for any
type of recording, and before sharing personal
information of any kind.

Installing
Memory Card

Basic Operations
You can also use a microSD card in the MV1 to store
extra photos, videos, and music.
Power On
Press the Power/Wake key until your phone vibrates.
When you power on your Obi phone for the first time,
you’ll need to follow the on-screen prompts to set up
your device.
3) Remove the battery, as shown below.
1) Power the phone off before inserting or removing
the microSD card.
4) Place the SIM card(s) into the slots with the
contacts facing down and cut-off corner facing
out, as detailed below.
2) Hold the phone with the touch display facing down.
Use your thumb to remove the battery cover, as
illustrated below.
5) Secure battery and battery cover onto phone.
3) Remove the battery, as shown below.
4) Place the microSD card into the appropriate slot
with the contacts facing down and cut-off corner
facing out, as detailed below.

Power Off
Press and hold the Power/Wake key for a few seconds
and tap Power Off on the touch display.
Standby Mode
To go into standby mode, press the Power/Wake key
once and the display will dim.
To wake from standby mode, press the Power/Wake
key once and the display will illuminate.
Make a Call
There are several ways to make a call from
your Obi phone.
From the Home screen, tap the Phone icon:
1. Use the keypad to enter a number
2. Enter a name or number in the search field
Make one-touch calls:
• From the Recents call log
• From your Contacts
• From the Speed Dial (Favourites)
• From any message or web page containing
a phone number
Messaging
1. From the Home screen, tap “Messaging”
2. Tap “+”
3. Enter a contact name or mobile number in
the “TO” field
4. Tap the area that says “Type message”, and
then enter your message
5. Tap the Send icon at the bottom right of
the screen to send the message, or tap
the Back arrow at the top left corner of
the screen to save the message as a draft

The guidelines are based on standards that were developed by independent scientific
organizations through periodic and thorough evaluation of scientific studies. The
standards include a substantial safety margin designed to assure the safety of all
persons regardless of age or health.
FCC RF Exposure Information and Statement The SAR limit of USA (FCC) is 1.6
W/kg averaged over one gram of tissue. Device types: Worldphone (FCC ID:
2AGBLMV1) has also been tested against this SAR limit. The highest SAR value
reported under this standard during product certification for use at the ear is
0.637W/Kgand when properly worn on the body is 0.925 W/Kg. This device was tested
for typical body-worn operations with the back of the handset kept5mm from the
body. To maintain compliance with FCC RF exposure requirements, use accessories
that maintain a 5mm separation distance between the user's body and the back of the
handset. The use of belt clips, holsters and similar accessories should not contain
metallic components in its assembly. The use of accessories that do not satisfy these
requirements may not comply with FCC RF exposure requirements, and should be
avoided.
Body-worn Operation
This device was tested for typical body-worn operations. To comply with RF
exposure requirements, a minimum separation distance of 5mmmust be maintained
between the user’s body and the handset, including the antenna. Third-party belt-clips,
holsters, and similar accessories used by this device should not contain any metallic
components. Body-worn accessories that do not meet these requirements may not
