PURDIO MMCX BLUETOOTH CABLE MX840 OVERVIEW
POWERING ON / OFF
1. (R) Right Unit
Turning On
2. (L) Left Unit
When turning on PURDIO MX840 by pressing and holding the
     button for about 2 seconds when the PURDIO MX840 is turned off.
(Blue LED will be light up two seconds and a voice prompt “Power ON” will be followed.)
3. Microphone
Picks up the sound of your voice when talking on the phone.
4. Multi-function Buttons
     Button – Power / Play / Pairing
     Button – Volume Up / Next Song
     Button – Volume Down / Previous Song
5. Indication LED
• Flashing red or blue light to indicate the power communication status of
		the PURDIO MX840.
• Lights up in red during charging.
*See section “LED Indications” for more information.
Turning Off
When turning off the PURDIO MX840 by pressing and holding the       button for about 2 seconds.
(Red LED will be light up two seconds and a voice prompt “Power OFF” will be followed.)

PURDIO MX840 contains a lithium-ion rechargeable battery. Charge it
using the supplied Micro-USB cable.
Connect the small end of the USB cable into the Micro-USB Charging Port,
and then connect the other end to USB wall charger or a booted computer.
Make sure that the LED indicator lights up in Red while charging.
Charging is completed in about 2 hours (*) and the LED indicator will be
changed to Blue light automatically when charge is completed.
*Time required for charging the empty battery to its full capacity.
1. If PURDIO MX840 battery level is lower than 5% when you are listening music, there will be a voice prompt announces
“Battery Low” and the Red LED indicator will be flashing twice in each minute to notify you to charge it.
For more information, please see “LED INDICATIONS” section
2. PURDIO MX840 will be turned off automatically when the battery level is 0%.
3. The remaining battery level is shown only on the screen of an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch (iOS 5.0 or later) that
supports HFP (Hands-free Profile).
4. Make sure that the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch is connected with the PURDIO MX840 cable. Otherwise, the remaining
battery level will not be displayed correctly.

TO CONNECT THE PURDIO MX840

1. Identify the left and right of PURDIO MX840 by the (L) and (R) on the tips of the cable.
Use the provided clip to anchor the cable to a comfortable length with not flopping around as much.
2. Match the cable to the appropriate in-ear monitors

3. Plug the cable into the in-ear monitors by shoving the tip of the cable into the MMCX socket.

TO DISCONNECT THE PURDIO MX840 FROM YOUR IN-EAR MONITORS
Grasping the in-ear monitors and the tips of the cable firmly with each hand and pulling out at a straight direction from
the socket.
NOTE: DO NOT HOLD ON THE BODY OF CABLE OR HAVE AN ANGLE WHEN UNPLUGGING THE PURDIO MX840
FROM YOUR IN-EAR MONITORS.

Disconnecting a Bluetooth® Device
• Turn off the Bluetooth® feature on your device.
• Your device is placed away from the receivable range of the PURDIO MX840.
When you disconnect PURDIO MX840 to your Bluetooth® device, you will hear a voice prompt of “Disconnected”.
The status of PURDIO MX840 will be changed to non-connecting device and the LED indicator will flashing the blue light
every 5 seconds.

Reconnecting to Your Bluetooth® Device
Switching between Two Connected Bluetooth® Devices
Mark sure the Bluetooth® feature of previously paired Bluetooth® device has been turned on.
Power on the PURDIO MX840 by pressing and holding the       button for 2 seconds, it will automatically reconnect with
previously paired device and you will hear a voice prompt of “Device connected” after. If not, please select “MX840” from
your device list.
Note: The devices must be within range and powered on.
Switching to a New Bluetooth® Device
Turn off PURDIO MX840 and follow the instructions of First Time Pairing.

Connecting with Two Bluetooth® Devices
PURDIO MX840 can be actively connected two devices at a time.
1. Power on the PURDIO MX840 by pressing and holding the       button for 2 seconds
2. Turn on Bluetooth feature of two previously paired Bluetooth devices

1. Pause audio on your first device.
2. Play audio on your second device.

3. It will automatically reconnect with previously paired devices. If not, please select “MX840” from your device list.
• Power on the PURDIO MX840.
• In the pairing mode , press and hold the       and       buttons for 10 seconds.
• Delete your “MX840” from the Bluetooth® list on your device(s). All Bluetooth® device(s) are cleared and
the headphones are ready to pair a new device.
4. If one of the devices is in first time paring, please connect the new device first by follow the instructions of First Time
Pairing above, then turn on Bluetooth® feature of the previously paired Bluetooth® device and select “MX840” from
the device list.
Once PURDIO MX840 is connected with two devices, the LED indicator will be flashing the Blue light twice quickly for
each five seconds.
Note: You can only play audio from one device at a time.

STORING
Turn off PURDIO MX840 when not in use.
Before storing the PURDIO MX840 for more than a few months, fully charge the battery.
Place the PURDIO MX840 in the carry pouch for storage.

phone calls while driving. Some jurisdictions impose specific limitations, such as single earpiece configuration, on the
use of such products while driving. DON’T use the PURDIO MX840 for any other purpose while driving.
• Focus on your safety and being alert if you use the PURDIO MX840 while engaging in any activity, e.g., while riding a
bicycle or walking in or near traffic, a construction site or railroad, etc. Remove the PURDIO MX840 or adjust your
volume to ensure you can hear surrounding sounds, including alarms and warning signals.
• Do NOT use the PURDIO MX840 if they emit any loud unusual noise. If this happens, turn the PURDIO MX840 off and

interferences or obstructions.
• Check that you are using the Micro-USB cable supplied.
• Pair a different Bluetooth® device (see “Pairing Your Bluetooth® Device” section).
• Check and secure both ends of the USB cable connected firmly.
• Make sure your PURDIO MX840 return to room temperature after it has been
exposed to high or low temperatures, then try charging again

• Securely attach the in-ear monitors to the PURDIO MX840

• Increase the volume on your Bluetooth® device and PURDIO MX840.
• Press the Power / Bluetooth® button to hear the beeping of connected device.
Make sure you are using the correct device.

play the other device.
• If two Bluetooth® devices are connected, move the devices within (30ft. or 10m)
range of the PURDIO MX840.
Distorted Sound
• Keep the PURDIO MX840 away from a microwave oven, Wi-Fi device, etc.
No voice from callers
• Check that both the PURDIO MX840 and the connected device are turned on.
• Turn up the volume of the PURDIO MX840 and the connected device.
• Check that output of the Bluetooth® device is set for the PURDIO MX840.
• If you are listening to music using the PURDIO MX840, end the call and stop the
music on your Bluetooth® device, and call back the caller and talk.

MX840 (“Product”) that should the Product or any part thereof be proven effective in material or workmanship within
for a period of One-Year from the date of the original purchase only from authorized ODOYO dealers or ODOYO official
website at www.odoyo.com, such defects will be whether repaired or replaced are at the company sole option.
Exclusions:
ODOYO’s One-Year Limited Warranty does not cover misuse, accident, mishandling, worn out, or abuse; damage to any
non-ODOYO product, including, but not limited to device damage or loss of data; customized or custom printed product;
product purchased through 3rd party retailers, unauthorized re-sellers, deal sites (including, but not limited to, Groupon,
etc.), liquidation sites, auction sites (including, but not limited, to eBay, Quibids, etc.); promotional items; or incidental or
consequential damages. You specifically agree that ODOYO shall not be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, punitive,
or consequential damages for breach of any warranty of any type of any ODOYO products. Some states do not allow the
exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
Except as set forth above, ODOYO makes no express or implied warranties and ODOYO expressly disclaims any and all
warranties including any warranty of quality, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Some jurisdictions do not
allow the exclusion of implied warranties or limitation on how long an implied warranty may last, so the above limitations
or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which
vary from different states (or by country or province).
Notwithstanding the foregoing, gradual deterioration in battery performance due to being left in a discharged state, left in
cold conditions for long periods of time, or worn out through heavy use is not covered.
For consumers who are covered by consumer protection laws or regulations in their country of purchase or, if different,

(5) Whether to be replace / repaired or not upon if you are entitled under the scope of the Limited Warranty (Please
refer to the warranty on (http://www.odoyo.com/warranty/). After the returned item(s) has been diagnosed, we will send
out an email to notify the result whether your RMA claim has been granted or not. The courier fees of sending back the
replacement / repaired of RMA item(s) to your appointed address will not be charged if the RMA claim has been granted
with diagnosed of “defective in materials and craftsmanship under normal use”. If the diagnosis result of the returned
item(s) is either “No Problem Found”, “Problem Caused by Misused or Worn-out” or “Breach of Warranty” by ODOYO
technicians, such RMA applicant will be charged a USD 50.00 handling fees. This fee must be paid within 12 working
days after the notification issued. If fail to settle the handling fees, such returned item(s) will be discarded without prior
further notification. (6)The replacement / repaired parcel will be sent out within 5 working days if the RMA claim has been
granted. The tracking number will be informed via email once the parcel has been sent out.
HOW TO MAKE A CLAIM
1. Purchased through Authorized Re-sellers / Retailer
In the event of the original retail purchaser through authorized ODOYO re-sellers/authorized ODOYO retailer, generally
purchaser must contact the authorized ODOYO re-sellers / authorized ODOYO retailer or their local Authorized Distributor
for the eligible defective claims.
2. Purchased direct from ODOYO website
In the event of a Product possible Defect that bought from ODOYO official website (www.odoyo.com), please read the
following instructions carefully.
(1) Contact ODOYO Online Support at support@odoyo.com within 30 days after you discovered a Product Defect (or
should have discovered it, if such Product Defect was obvious); (2) Complete the RMA form on  http://www.odoyo.com/
customer-support/ and give a detailed explanation of how the damage occurred and make sure the Address and contact on
the RMA form is valid. The replacement / repaired item(s) will be sending to this submitted address and that information will
not be changed once the RMA claim has been granted. (3) If the event is fulfilled the Return criteria, we will send you our
closest Technical Center address and issue a RMA number via email. Once the RMA number has been received, please send
the assigned RMA product(s) only. Put the assigned RMA product(s) in fully protected box and print the RMA number and
Date on the outside of the return package. (4) All RMA returns must send via insured courier service with a tracking number.
Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer and must be prepaid. If the courier fees of the return parcel
have not settled before the arrival, ODOYO will not accept the parcel(s) and such RMA application will be invalid.
