注意禁止禁止不安定な場所に置かない。機器の落下などにより、けがなどのおそれがあります。雨や水しぶきがかかる場所では電池ケースカバー蓋を開けない。 ■充電池について警告禁止分解したり、改造したりしない。電池を分解し、飛散した内容物が目に入ると、失明・けがのおそれがあります。強制電池の向きは、電池ラベルに指示されたとおり正しく入れる。電池が液漏れ、発熱、破裂するおそれがあります。万一電池の液が目に入った時はきれいな水で洗った後直ちに医師の治療を受けてください。注意強制強制強制電池からの液漏れで製品が腐食し、故障の原因となります。本機が動作しなくなった場合は速やかに電池を取り外してください。不要となった電池は地域で定められた条例に従って、処理してください。長期間使用しない場合は、電池を取り外して保管してください。禁止禁止電池をショートさせない。電池の（＋）（－）端子に金属（ネックレス、ヘアピン等）が触れると、一度に大きな電流が流れ電池を弱らせるだけでなく、破裂するおそれがあります。火の中に投入したり、加熱したりしない。電池が発熱、破裂するおそれがあります。 9

It may cause heating up the battery, resulting in bursting. Prohibited Do not short. If the (+) and (-) come into contact with metal materials (such as necklace or hairpin), short-circuiting occurs. As a result, catching fire, heat generation, leakage or bursting occur. Prohibited Set batteries as indicated on the battery label. It may damage the batteries, resulting in liquid leakage, heat generation, or bursting. Constraint If leaked liquid gets in the eyes, wash them with clean water and consult a physician immediately. CAUTION Constraint Remove used batteries when this scanner stops its operation. Dispose batteries in accordance with the local disposal regulations. Constraint Store this product without batteries, when it is not in use for a long period. Otherwise, it may cause corrosion with battery leakage,resulting inmalfunction. Constraint 10

2．取り扱い上のお願い 2．1 本機を正しくご使用いただくために、次の点にご注意ください。・湿度の高い場所や、ほこりの多い場所に放置しないでください。・寒い場所から暖かい場所へ移すと結露することがあります。万一結露した場合には付着した水滴が蒸発するまで、本機の使用を控えてください。・静電気の起こりやすい場所（じゅうたんを使用しているところ）や、テレビ・ラジオなど磁気を発生する機器の近くには置かないでください。・本機は精密機器ですので、ていねいにお取り扱いください。衝撃を加えたり、落としたり、本体の上にものを置いたりしないでください。・本機は柔らかい布でからぶきするか、中性洗剤にひたした布をかたくしぼってから、かるくふいてください。（シンナー等の揮発性のものは絶対に使用しないでください。）・長時間日光に当たる場所や高（低）温になるところには放置しないでください。・雨や水などが、かからないようにしてください。 2．2 無線設備について・本機は電波法で定められた 2.4GHz 帯高度化小電力データ通信システムの無線局の無線設備として、特定無線設備の工事設計の認証を取得済みの製品です。その為、日本国内においては無線局の免許は必要ありません。法律により次の行為は禁止されています。・改造及び分解・認証証明ラベルの剥離 2．3 無線仕様について・本機は IEEE802.15.4 規格に準拠した無線通信方式を採用しております｡・本機が使用する電波帯（2.4GHz 帯）は、さまざまな機器が共有して使用する電波帯です。そのため、同じ電波帯を使用する機器からの影響によって通信速度や通信距離が低下したり、通信が切断されることがあります。・機器間の障害物、電波状況、相手機などにより、通信速度や通信距離は異なります。・本機内部にはアンテナが搭載されています。極端に金属体に接近させると通信に影響を与える可能性があります。 2．4 使用周波数帯について本機は 2.4GHz 帯の周波数を使用しています。下記事項に注意して使用してください。本機の使用周波数帯では、電子レンジ等の産業・科学・医療用機器のほか、工場の製造ライン等で使用される免許を要する移動体識別用構内無線局、免許を要しない特定小電力無線局、アマチュア無線局等（以下「他の無線局」と呼ぶ）が運用されています。・本機を使用する前に、近くで「他の無線局」が運用されていないことを確認してください。・万一、本機と「他の無線局」との間に電波干渉が発生した場合には、すみやかに使用場所を変えるか、電波の発射を停止して電波干渉を避けてください。・その他不明な点やお困りのことは起きたときは、弊社営業にお問合せください。 ◎万一の故障、事故、修理および電池交換時の際のデータ保護、ならびに損害の保証について、弊社では一切その責任を負いかねますので、ご注意ください。 11

2. Handling Precautions 2.1 Please follow the following instructions for proper usage. ・ Do not leave this product in a highly humid or dusty area. ・ When moved from a cold place to a warm place, this product may be covered with condensation. In such case, abstain from using it until the condensation disappears. ・ Do not leave this product in the area where static electricity is easily generated (such as the carpeted area) or near equipments which generate magnetism (such as a TV or a radio). ・ This product is a precision apparatus. Do not subject this product to strong impact. Do not throw or drop this product from large height. ・ When cleaning this product, rub with a soft and dry clothes or a clothes wrung out of mild detergent. Do not use thinner, white spirit or other solvents. These can discolor the case and the keys and cause negative effects on the lifetime of the keys. ・ Do not leave this product in direct sunlight or high temperature area. ・ Keep batteries away from water or all other liquid. 2.2 Radio Equipment This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: -- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. -- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. -- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. -- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. 5．ご使用にあたって ■本機について・搭載される主電池について出荷時は本機は省エネモードに入っております｡初めてお使いの際はトリガスイッチを押し続けると起動します。主電池が放電している場合は起動しませんので、使用前に専用 AC アダプタを接続し充電してください。また、充電台(オプション)に本機を置くことで充電することも可能です。・LED の表示状態色条件読み取り完了緑バーコードを正しく読み取った時に点灯します。送信エラー赤バーコードデータを OPA-1001 に正しく送信できない時に点滅します。充電中赤本機を充電台に置くと点灯して、充電中であることを表示します。充電完了緑充電が完了すると赤から緑に変わります。電池電圧低下赤トリガスイッチ押下時に LED が赤点灯しますので充電してください。このときバーコードの読み取りは出来ません｡・充電時間仕様備考約 3 時間電池が空状態から満充電に至るまで ■OPA-1001 について OPA-1001 は本機対応の受信機です。ホストの USB ポートに接続して使用します｡ OPA-1001 は USB1.1 をサポートしております。・LED の表示色機能オレンジホストと USB 接続が完了するまでの初期化中緑・データ受信待ちの状態で点滅します。・データ受信時に点灯します。 ■ハンドストラップについて本機を移動するとき、またご使用の時、落下防止用としてハンドストラップをご使用ください。ハンドストラップは、認証証明ラベルの両脇にある「ストラップ取り付け穴」に結びつけてください。 ◎ハンドストラップを持って、本体を振り回さないでください。 21

5．Getting Started OPI-4002 Main batteries used for OPI-4002 As of the factory shipment, OPI-4002 is set to energy-saving mode. It will recover for the scanning operation by pressing and holding down the trigger switch for a while. OPI-4002 will not start up when the main batteries are discharged. Please use dedicated AC adapter to charge OPI-4002 before starting actual operation. Users can also use the cradle (optional) to charge batteries of OPI-4002. 6．バーコードの読み方トリガスイッチを押すと照明 LED が発光し、バーコードを読み込みます。読み取り範囲はエイミングを目安にして調整してください。 3080130180[単位:mm](水平方向画角) ＊エイミングは読み取りを補助するためのガイドです。読み取り範囲、バーコードまでの距離を正確に表すものではないことに注意してください。 ※エイミングの使い方・読み取り範囲に入るバーコードを読み取る場合は、パターンの中心をバーコードの中心に合わせるようにしてください。・幅が広いバーコードでエイミングパターンの外側にはみ出す場合は、バーコードとの距離を離して外側のエイミングパターンに合わせるようにしてください。 ● 読み取るバーコードが印刷されている材質によって、正反射の為読み取りができないことがあります。この場合は読み取り面に対し約 15°程度傾けて読み取りを行ってください。 25

6．Scanning Bar Codes Press the trigger switch to emit lighting LED and start a scanning of bar codes. 3080130180[in the millimeters]Horizontal Direction Distance from a Mask of a Camera * Aiming is a guide to support the scanning operation. Note that an aiming pattern does not indicate exact sannable width nor distance between a scanner and a bar code. Aiming Guideline ・ To scan a bar code within a width of aiming range, make sure that two central LED light patterns overlap together. Then locate the center of the overlapped LED light pattern on the center of the bar code. ・ To scan a bar code wider than a width of aiming range, aim the bar code from farther point. Make sure that the bar code is in between two LED light patterns at right and left ends. ● Due to specular reflections, scanning performance may differ depending on the material of the media on which the target bar code is printed. Please incline the scanner at about 15 degrees when you have difficulties in scanning bar codes due to specular reflections. 26

7．無線接続について 7．1 無線仕様・本機及び OPA-1001 は無線インターフェースとして IEEE802.15.4 規格に準拠した無線方式を採用しています。 ■通信時の接続構成 1 対 1（本機） (OPA-1001) ■接続時の動作モードアドレス認識方式（登録したアドレスを認識して通信を行います。） ■暗号化 128 ビットキーを用いた AES 方式を元に暗号化されます。 ■通信距離約 30m （通信距離は使用環境によって変動します） 7．2 メニューバーコードによる機能設定下記無線接続の設定は添付のメニューバーコードで設定します。・ OPA-1001 への登録（本機の通信相手を決定します｡）・無線チャンネル設定（本機と OPA-1001 の通信チャンネルを設定します。）・通信制御設定・通信圏外メモリ設定 ■通信圏外メモリの設定について ●通信圏外メモリの設定が「無し」の場合(出荷設定) 圏外での読み取りは出来ません。 ●通信圏外メモリの設定が｢有り｣の場合・通信圏外での読み取りが可能になりデータはメモリに蓄積されます。・最大メモリ蓄積サイズは、約100K バイトです。・通信圏外で読み取り中にメモリフルになると警告音が鳴り、コードの読み取りは出来なくなります。・蓄積データがある場合は通信圏内に入ると自動的に蓄積データを送信します。・自動データ送信は1.0～2.0 秒のランダム周期で行われます。・通信圏外で再送信中（橙LED 点滅）、データクリアメニュー「+-MCLR-+」もしくはIEEEアドレスラベルの読み取り（登録動作）を行うと再送信を中止して、メモリ内部のコードデータは消去されます。・通信圏外動作中にメニュー設定で通信圏外メモリを無しに設定すると内部メモリは消去されます。 ※本設定は追加設定です。初期設定では使用できません。 27

7．Wireless Connection 7.1 Wireless Specifications OPI-4002 and OPA-1001 employs the Wireless communication standard IEEE802.15.4 as a wireless interface. Connection: Scanner 1 : Wireless USB Adaptor 1 Connection mode: Address recognition (perform the communication by recognizing registered address.) Encryption: Support 128 bit-key Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). Distance Approx. 30 m (depends on use environment ) 7.2 Settings via menu bar codes The following wireless connection can be configured by reading the bar codes listen on page 19. 20 and 21. ・ Registration to wireless USB adaptor (decide the host computer of scanner) ・ Wireless channel settings (set communication channel of scanner and dongle) ・ Communication control settings ・ Data memorizing settings outside of communication area. Data Memorizing Settings Outside of Communication Area <Data Memorizing Disabled> (factory default setting) Bar code data is not stored automatically, in case the connection is lost. <Data Memorizing Enabled> - Scanning operation is enabled outside of communication area of OPI-4002. Bar code data is stored automatically. - Maximum capacity of memory is approximately 100 K Bytes. - Beeps go off when data volume exceeds the capacity of the memory during the scanning operation carried out outside of the communication area. Scanning operation will be disabled at once. As soon as OPI-4002 is connected again, the temporary stored data is transmitted to the computer and the storage area is cleared. - Automatic transmission of temporary stored data is done in a random cycle of 1.0 to 2.0 seconds. - When data clear menu bar code 「+-MCLR-+」 or IEEE address label is scanned during the re-transmission of bar code data outside of communication area (while orange LED is blinking), re-transmission of bar code data will stop and bar code data stored in the memory will be deleted. - When “Clear All Memorized Data” is selected during the scanning operation outside of communication area, all memorizing data will be deleted and the memory will be cleared. - These settings are not default settings. 28

8．無線設定手順 8．1 OPA-1001 とホストとの接続 OPA-1001 は、HIDキーボードインターフェースとして動作します。・ OPA-1001 をホストの USB ポートに直接または市販の延長ケーブルを介して接続します。・ OPA-1001 をホストの USB ポートに接続すると Windows 標準の HID デバイスドライバが自動的にインストールされます。・初期化中はオレンジ LED が点灯し、初期化が完了し待機状態になると緑 LED が点滅します。 →上記で接続は完了です。 ●OPA-1001 の動作推奨 OS Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP2 8．2 本機接続手順 ①OPA-1001 をホストの USB ポートに接続し、緑 LED が点滅していることを確認します。 ②本機のトリガスイッチを押し、読み取り動作を開始します。 ③本機で OPA-1001 に貼付されている IEEE アドレスラベルのバーコード｢A4xxxxxxxx｣を読み取り、登録します。 →上記で接続は完了です。バーコードの読み取りが出来る状態になります。読み取ったバーコードデータはUSBキーボード等から入力されるデータと同様に、アクティブウィンドウの入力フォーカス位置に出力されます。 29

8．Wireless Settings 8.1 Connection between Wireless USB Adaptor (OPA-1001) and Host OPA-1001 functions as HID keyboard interface. ・ Connect OPA-1001 dierctly to host via its USB interface or via commercially available extended cables. ・ Windows standard HID device driver will be automatically installed when OPA-1001 is connected to USB port of host. ・Orange LED lights during initialization. Orange LEDs turn Green after completion. Then a connection will be made. Operating Systems Recommended for OPA-1001 Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP2 8.2 Scanner Connection Sequence 1. Connect the Wireless USB Adaptor to the host computer and make sure Green LED is blinking. 2. Press trigger key to start reading operation. 3. Scan IEEE address bar code label “A4xxxxxxxx” on the Wireless USB Adaptor to register by the scanner. The connection is done. Now you can start bar code reading. A scanned data is output to the input focus of the active window. 30

Other menu labels are listed in the Universal Menu Book, such as Code options, String options, Read options, and Indicator options. Please use it to set the required options for setting up the scanner to optimize its performance. 10.1 Setting Method There are two ways to set the required options. Setting 1. Scanning CODE39 bar codes: To set the required options, proceed as follows: Scan the Set label, the required label, and the END label in sequence. * If several labels in the same option are read, the last label read is enabled. Setting 2. Scanning QR code: This needs to scan directly without reading the “SET” and “END” labels. 36
