It communicates over the Local Area Network (LAN) to theMRX Advanced System Controller.An MRX Advanced System Controller is REQUIRED for the TKP-5500 tooperate. TKP-5500 Product DescriptionThe TKP-5500 consists of a 5” color touchscreen. Your whole house cus-tom installer can request custom buttons specific to your Total Controlsetup.Power: Turn ON the room where the TKP-5500 is located (or any otherroom if using the Rooms Menu)Lights: Press to control URC Lighting throughout your home.Main: Press to view the main screen and control the Total Control system.Vol+, Vol- and Mute: Easily adjust the volume settings for any zone.LAN port: This is connected by your whole house custom installer toyour home network via Ethernet cable to a PoE (Power overEthernet) switch. Displaying the Settings ScreenYou can adjust the settings of the TKP-5500whenever you like by pressing and holdingboth the MAIN and MUTE buttons for five seconds. When you do, the screen will changeto the SETTINGS screen. If you do not pressany button on the SETTINGS screen within 1 minute, the TKP-5500 will time out and automatically return to normal operation. Adjusting Sleep SettingsConserve energy by configuring the keypad to fall asleep after a specifiedamount of time. Select a time from thedrop down list. Button Light SettingsConserve energy by opting to turn off the LED lighting behind the buttons.Setting Date and TimeYour TKP-5500 may have been programmed to display the date or time on the touch screen.If you need to, you can adjust the time displayedby changing the settings on this screen.TKP-5500 NETWORK KEYPADPage 4

However, you can adjust the volume to any level you like by touching and dragging the volume control here.Adjusting BrightnessSimply touch and drag the brightnessslider to the desired level.SystemThe System Information screen displaysdata about your TKP-5500's operating system, memory etc.NetworkThe Network screen displays networkinformation about your TKP-5500 and the network it is connected to.

As theTKP-5500 is connected to your home network, your installer hasthe ability to update the firmware via Off-Site programming. How do I reset a TKP-5500?Remove the front cover of the TKP-5500. Use a pen or pointed objectdevice to depress the button and reset the unit. How do I erase a TKP-5500?Press and hold Main + Mute for 3 seconds then select the FactoryDefault button. (“URC”) warrants that URC equipmentpurchased directly from URC or from an authorized URC dealer ordistributor shall be free from defects in material and workmanship undernormal usage for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase of theproduct by the end-user, but no longer than thirty-six (36) months from thedate of shipment of the URC equipment by URC to an authorized URCdealer or distributor, except that with respect to Total Control® whole-house products, the warranty extends for two (2) years from the date ofpurchase by the end-user, but no longer than forty-eight (48) months fromthe date of shipment of the URC equipment by URC to an authorized URCdealer or distributor. This limited warranty is valid only in the United States of America. It is end user's responsibilityto backup any macro programming, artwork, software or other materialsthat may have been programmed into the unit. It is likely that such data,software, or other materials will be lost during service and URC will not beresponsible for any such damage or loss. A dated purchase receipt, bill ofsale, installation contract or other verifiable proof of purchase is required.For the URC equipment support and other important information, pleasevisit URC's website available at www.universalremote.com or call theCustomer Service Center at (914) 835-4484.This limited warranty only covers the URC equipment issues caused bydefects in material or workmanship during ordinary consumer use. It doesnot cover product issues caused by any other reason, including but notlimited to product issues due to commercial use, acts of God, third-partyinstallation, misuse, limitations of technology, or modification of or to anypart of the URC equipment. This limited warranty does not cover the URCequipment sold as used, as is, refurbished, so called "B stock" orconsumables (such as batteries). This limited warranty is invalid if thefactory applied serial number has been altered or removed from the URCequipment. Such equipment is not eligible for URC tech support orsoftware support, either.2.
