Natural or man-made obstacles and other environmental factors can interfere with or otherwise reduce transmission range. Always confirm actual transmission range during installation of system. Please use the information below as a reference for transmission performance. 110ft Plaster construction: It transmits when the distance of the magnet unit from the transmitter unit is as shown. Reinforced concrete construction: 0.40 ~ 1.18 (10 ~ 30) 0.16 ~ 0.40 (4 ~ 10) 70ft 0.32 ~ 0.79 (8 ~ 20) Unit: inches (mm) When using OPTEX’s battery operated detector Lead the wire from OPTEX’s battery operated detector into the input terminal. Move the Slide switch to input terminal for change function. Wiring knockout Remove the wiring knockout as shown. * It will lost weatherproof structure. * Put in these detectors’s backbox. * About these detectors, please contact your supplier for services. INSTALLATION BATTERY 1. Remove the Front cover as shown. 2. Insert batteries. Observe polarity. (+/- direction) 3. To replace the cover. • When the power is low, Status indicator starts flash. Replace the battery in such case. • Low power may become the cause of false alarm. • There is no need to readjust the TC-10U nor the receiver after replacing battery. • Don’t throw the battery in the fire because there is the explosion hazard. *confirm its closed surely TEACH TRANSMITTER CODES TO THE RECEIVER The receiver must be taught this TC-10U’s unique code before use. Refer to the receiver’s manual for details. 1. Preparation 2. Activation 3. Verification • Separate the magnet unit from transmitter unit. • Verity that the receiver has learned successfully by observing the zone indicators of the receiver. Zone indicators should have stopped flashing and remain continuously on. • Press Switch 1 of the receiver until the power indicator starts flashing. • Press switch 2 to select the zone you wish to assign to the sensor. Note: • After teaching all the transmitter’s codes (if you have multiple transmitters), return the receiver to normal operating status. • Make sure that the receiver operates correctly with all the transmitters. INSTALLATION Cover the TC-10U until you are ready to teach the receiver. Unwanted detection can cause the TC-10U to be assigned to the wrong zone and override the data of other transmitters. CONFIRMATION Double stick tape installation After installation, door/window open and close. And confirm the receiver weather it is received. Clean the installation positions before Wall Door/ Window installing them. Install the transmitter unit on the wall. The system is not operating. Is the status indicator flashing? If not, check to see if the battery is inserted correctly. Otherwise try a new battery. The magnet unit away by enough distance? Please separate it by 0.6 inch (15 mm). The battery is old. Replace the battery. Check the receiver (or repeater). Is the power indicator of the receiver lit? The receiver does not respond to the TC10U. The zone indicator of the receiver is on, but nothing happens. Is there anything blocking the transmission? Is the receiver on? Check the wiring, power switch and connection. The TC-10U is not properly recognized by the receiver. Teach the receiver correctly. Receiver has not been properly setup. Refer to the receiver’s manual and verify the setting. Relocate the receiver and/or the TC-10U. Metal objects can shorten the effective transmission range. 2. The system is not operating correctly. It does not transmitting. Before contacting the supplier! Does it makes between Transmitter unit and Magnet unit within 0.2 inch (5 mm)? Is its distance more than transmission range to receiver? Please use repeater. Remove the battery, then reinsert the new batteries and verify the TC-10U’s operation again. • If the above solutions do not work, please contact your supplier for services. 1.8 (45) 0.6 (15) 1.0 (24) 0.95 (24.2) Does the status indicator light up when you remove transmitter unit from wallplate? 0.95 (24.2) Check the transmitter.
