Replacing the batteries in the remote control Remove the screw at the back of the remote and separate the two housings. Be careful not to damage the electronics of the circuit board. Remove the battery carefully from the housing. Insert the new battery and note the polarity on the inside of the housing base. ( It is advisable to insert the negative end of the battery first then the positive). To test the remote, press any of the four buttons and the LED should illuminate. Arming the System Simply press the arm button once to arm the system. Silent Arming Press the hazard button once, then the arm button within 2 seconds. The siren will not sound. 2. Disarming the System Simply press the disarm button once to disarm the system. Silent Disarming Press the trunk button once, then the disarm button within 2 seconds. The siren will not sound. 3. Hazards Pressing this button twice turn the hazards on for a certain period depending on the alarm system used. (Pressing the button again will clear the hazards.) 4. Trunk/Hood Pressing this button twice will open the vehicle trunk/hood provided the option has been connected. 5. Panic Holding down any of the button for more than two seconds will sound the siren continously.
