TROUBLESHOOTING
We’ve designed Clarisonic to work with the natural
elasticity of the skin. It gently flexes the skin to help
open the pores and loosen dirt and oil. The back
and forth sonic oscillating motion of the inner brush
effectively cleans, clarifies, and stimulates the skin to
give you a deep, gentle cleansing, leaving your skin
feeling and looking smoother. We think it’s the best
minute you can give your skin every day.

G CLEANSER
The Clarisonic sonic technology works with the natural
elasticity of the skin to provide deep, thorough, gentle
daily cleansing of the skin. Cleansing is the foundation of
a complete skin care routine. Oscillating back and forth
at a sonic frequency that produces about 300 movements
per second, a flexing action is created between the outer
and inner brushes that works deep within the pores to
loosen dirt and oil. The brush motion effectively cleans,
clarifies and stimulates, resulting in smoother feeling and
looking skin.

USING YOUR CLARISONIC
Your Clarisonic is programmed to operate in a variety
of power settings and brushing durations, both with and
without the T-timer feature, as described below.
Read through this entire section before using your
Clarisonic. Prior to the first use, charge the Clarisonic
brush handle for 24 hours by plugging the charging cradle
into an electrical outlet and placing the Clarisonic in the
charging cradle, making sure the handle is in the proper
position with the brush head facing the power cord (see
diagram on page 2). Once your Clarisonic is fully charged,
it’s time to begin your Clarisonic experience. For your
convenience, your Clarisonic handle is waterproof and
may be used in the shower or bathtub. Refer to Important
Safeguards regarding the charging cradle.
The Clarisonic is designed for use with most skin types.
Your skin is constantly changing, and due to its dynamic
nature you may want to use different power levels,
different brush heads, and a shorter or longer duration.
The Clarisonic is packaged with the Sensitive brush head
(white plastic base) installed. The Normal brush head (gray
plastic base) is also included. We recommend that you first
use your Clarisonic with the Sensitive brush head at the low
power setting for a one-minute duration (this is the factory
setting). Then you can customize your Clarisonic for your
skin type: sensitive or normal brush head; normal or
low power setting; one- or two-minute duration (with
the T-TIMER™ feature enabled).
If you use makeup, remove eye makeup by hand first and
wet your skin with warm water prior to use. Liberally apply
cleanser to your skin and wet the brush head with warm
water. Then gently apply the brush to your skin, beginning
on the forehead as described in the Cleansing Timer section
below. Push the power button to turn your Clarisonic on
and gently move the brush using a small circular motion.
Pressing too hard will impede the motion of the brush and
reduce its effectiveness. The outer brushes are designed
to contain any residual mist from the oscillating of the
brush, so be sure to hold the brush head flush to your skin.
Clarisonic also effectively clarifies the neck, back, décolleté
(upper chest), shoulders, arms, and the back of the hands.
Gently move the brush
using a small circular
motion.
It is recommended that you do not share a brush head with
another individual. Do not share brushes if you or any other
Clarisonic user have any skin conditions. To dry the brush
after use, rub it against a towel for 5-10 seconds while the
Clarisonic is powered on (optional).

POWER LEVEL
The Clarisonic Skin Care Brush offers a choice of 2 power
levels: normal and low. The power level is indicated both
audibly and visually. When the Clarisonic is turned on at the
normal power level, there are 3 ascending beeps and the
yellow light is illuminated. At the low power level, there are
3 descending beeps and the yellow light is turned off.

CLEANSING TIMER
For even and thorough cleansing of your face, the
Clarisonic features a proprietary one-minute T-timer that
beeps and pauses momentarily to indicate it is time to
move to another part of your face. We recommend that you
spend the first 20 seconds of brush time on your forehead,
20 seconds on your nose/chin region, and 10 seconds
on each cheek. The Clarisonic is factory set with a oneminute duration. To pause the cleansing cycle for up to 30
seconds, simply press the power button. The yellow light
will flash (indicating pause mode) and the Clarisonic will
automatically remember the remaining time on the T-timer.
To resume, press the power button again. When finished,
nose/ rinse your skin with warm water and rinse the brush head
chin of the Clarisonic with warm water.

seconds To change the cleansing duration, turn your Clarisonic
on and hold the power button for at least 10 seconds. At
around 3 seconds, you will hear three tones (related to the
Power Level) and then you will hear beep tones relating to
the optional cleansing times and interval beeps.

CHARGING
Your system kit includes a charging cradle designed
to hold and charge the brush handle. Place the Clarisonic
into the charging cradle with the brush facing the raised
wave of the cradle (the brush head is on the same side as
the power cord). The green light on the back of the brush
is the charge indicator. When flashing green the Clarisonic
is charging; a constant green light indicates that your
Clarisonic is fully charged. The Clarisonic includes nickel
metal hydride (NiMH) batteries and cannot be over-charged.
You can leave the Clarisonic brush handle in the charging
cradle or by the sink, tub or shower, as long as you charge
it after every 30 minutes of use. We recommend that you
leave your Clarisonic in its charging cradle when not in use.
CHARGING CRADLE
IMPORTANT: Unplug the charging cradle before you clean
it. After unplugging the cradle, wipe it with a soft, damp
cloth. Do not immerse the charging cradle in water.

TROUBLESHOOTING
CLARISONIC CLEANSER
Your Clarisonic system kit includes a 2 ounce sample
of the Clarisonic cleanser, which is optimized for use with
your Clarisonic. It is a gentle, lightly scented, botanicalbased non-foaming cleanser designed for sensitive and
normal skin. The botanical ingredients include Japanese
Green Tea, seaweed, and cucumber extract. You can also
use most non-abrasive facial cleansers with your Clarisonic.
My Clarisonic won’t turn on.
In order for the Clarisonic to turn on, the battery needs to
be sufficiently charged. Prior to first use, charge the
handle for 24 hours. The warning beeps and lights indicate
that the device needs to be placed in the charging cradle
overnight. First check to be sure the handle is properly
placed in the cradle (brush head facing the power cord).
After every 30 minutes of use, charge the handle overnight.
Also, check that your charging cradle is not plugged into an
outlet that is linked to a wall switch. If the problem persists,
contact Customer Service.
Purchase Clarisonic cleanser from your skin care
professional, physician, medi-spa or Clarisonic retailer.
Or call 1-888 -525 -2747 or visit clarisonic.com.
The inner brush head is not moving, but sound
is coming from the handle.
Remove the brush head and twist it back into place,
assuring that the brush head is properly seated using its
3 attachment pins as indicated in the Caring for Your
Clarisonic section. This should reactivate the motion of the
inner bristles. If the problem persists, contact Customer
Service.
6 oz. size available for purchase.
2 oz. size sample package.
The brush beeps during use.
The beeps are your guide to a more even and thorough
cleansing of the face. For more on this, please see page 8
of this booklet.
The brush head won’t come off.
Grip the brush head firmly, push and twist it counter-clockwise. Then pull the head away from the handle.
The brush head appears stained.
With daily maintenance and weekly washing, the brush
head should not stain. Using the Clarisonic to remove
makeup may cause discoloration, which will not adversely
affect performance. Never use the Clarisonic to remove
eye makeup.
The brush feels harsh on my skin.
Always use the Clarisonic on wet skin. Use enough cleanser
to generously cover your face. Try using the brush at the
lower power level. To set at low power, hold the power
button for at least 3 seconds when turning it on. At the low
power level, you’ll hear 3 descending beeps and the yellow
light is turned off. Also, try using the Sensitive or Delicate
brush head, as they are softer on the skin and are designed
for maximum comfort.
