GUN CONTROLLER SETUP
1.
Open the battery panel on the Sure Shot HD gun hardware using a Philips
head screwdriver and insert three (3), fresh 1.5V “AA” batteries.
2.
Replace battery panel and tighten the screw to secure the cover.
SURE SHOT HD BASE
Placing the Sure Shot HD Base on your TV

Place the Adhesive backed Hook and Loop Strips on Sure Shot HD Base and
on the TV to fasten the base to the TV.
4.
Make sure the Sure Shot HD Base is level with the ground and centered
either directly above or below the TV, with the LED lights facing forward.
Connecting the Sure Shot HD Base

Plug one end of HDMI cable to the HDMI port of the Sure Shot HD Base
and connect the other end to an open HDMI port on your TV.
6.
If you have a USB port on the back of your TV, plug the circular end of DC
5v power cable into the circular DC 5v port of your Sure Shot HD Base and
plug the other end into the standard USB port on your TV.
7.
If you do not have a USB port on the back of your TV, plug the circular end
of DC 5v power cable into the circular DC 5v port of your Sure Shot HD
Base, plug the other end into a USB AC Adapter (not included), and plug
the adapter into the wall outlet.
8. Turn on TV, select correct HDMI input connected to the Sure Shot HD Base.
9. Press any button on the gun to turn the power on.
10. Follow the on-screen instructions for calibration and account creation.
GUN CALIBRATION
Calibration teaches Sure Shot HD your location while playing the game and TV
screen size. For optimal performance, follow these guidelines:

Make sure the Sure Shot HD Base is firmly and squarely attached to your TV
and that it is level with the ground and centered directly above or below the
TV, with the LED lights facing forward

Make sure the gun has three (3) fresh 1.5V “AA” batteries (not included)

For TVs smaller than 65”, the tip of the gun should be between 5 and 8 feet
away from the TV

For TVs larger than 65”, the top of the gun should be between 8 and 10 feet
away from the TV

Reduce any conflicting light sources near the TV
USING A GUEST ACCOUNT
To get started playing on your Sure Shot HD system, with a guest account, aim
at the PLAY NOW button and pull the trigger.
*IMPORTANT*
While using a guest account, you will not be able to use many of the network
features like the Sure Shot Shop, friend management, and important operating
system and game updates.
This will immediately log you into the Guest Account and take you directly to
the Main Menu where you can play your games immediately.
USING THE MAIN LOBBY
This is the main lobby for the Sure Shot HD platform. The content area in the
middle of the screen shows all of the current games on the system, each of
which can be played by simply aiming at the large icon and pulling the trigger.
To enter the Shop and look at all of the available titles, aim at the Sure Shot
Shop icon and pull the trigger.
Shooting the MORE buttons on the left and right side of the screen will scroll
through all of the available games that you’ve purchased.
CREATING A SURE SHOT HD ACCOUNT
You are not required to create a Sure Shot HD account, but without one, you
will not be able to access the Sure Shot Shop, updates to your existing games,
or other network features.



Accounts are completely free
You must have an internet connection to use all Sure Shot HD services
Sure Shot HD will sometimes require system software to be up-to-date for
certain network features to continue functioning
To create your Sure Shot HD
account, aim at the SURE
SHOT HD LOGIN button on
the right and pull the trigger.
1. Select Wi-Fi Access Point, if available
5. Enter your profile username
2. Enter your Wi-Fi password, if
necessary
6. Enter your profile password
3. Enter your first and last name
7. Choose an Avatar
4. Enter your email address
8. Confirm the Account
PURCHASING FROM the sure shot SHOP
New titles will be available for
purchase in the Sure Shot Shop.
To access these titles, aim at the
Store header above the game
icons, and pull the trigger. This
will bring up a list of titles that
are available for purchase.
Once the list of games has
appeared, aim the reticle at a
game you want to examine and
pull the trigger. This will bring up
more in-depth details about the
game such as the description,
screenshots, and sometimes
gameplay videos.
To make a purchase, simply aim
the reticle at the BUY BUTTON
and pull the trigger. Once you
pull the trigger, you’ll see a
confirmation screen where you
can choose to go Back or
continue with to Checkout.
If this is your first time making a purchase, you’ll need to add a credit card.
If you’ve already added a credit
card from previous purchases,
then you will see those cards in
the list and you can simply aim
the reticle at the card and pull
the trigger to select it.
To add a new card, aim at the ADD
CARD button and pull the trigger.
This will take you through the steps
of entering in all of your card
information.
At the end of this sequence, you’ll
have the option to SAVE & PAY or
PURCHASE.
SAVE & PAY will allow you to save your card information for future purchases,
so that you don’t have to enter all the information in again.
Selecting PAY will just make the purchase and not save any credit card
information for future purchases.
After selecting either SAVE & PAY or PURCHASE we will submit the transaction
for approval. If there are any issues with the transactions, you will have a
chance to edit the information and re-submit the payment.
DELETING A CREDIT CARD
The Sure Shot HD system allows you to delete your card information at any
time by going into your Profile from the Main Menu and selecting SETTINGS.
From this screen, select PAYMENT
INFO.
On this screen, press the Menu
button on the gun and the option
to delete cards will appear below
each card in the list. Aim at the
card you want to delete and pull
the trigger to delete it.
GUN SLEEP MODE / TURNING OFF SURE SHOT HD
Caution
Disconnecting the DC power cable during gameplay may cause data corruption or
permanent damage to the system. Always make sure the Sure Shot HD box is in the
main Sure Shot HD Lobby before unplugging the power.
Turning off Power Completely
Disconnect the DC 5v power plug from the back of the Sure Shot HD box.
Putting Gun into Sleep Mode
The Sure Shot HD gun will automatically go into Sleep Mode in 2 minutes if there’s no
connection to the Sure Shot HD box. It will also go to sleep within 5 minutes if it’s
connected, but there’s no activity.
The gun can manually be placed in Sleep Mode by holding the MENU button for 5
seconds.
WIRELESS NETWORKING FEATURE
The 2.4 GHz range of radio waves used by the wireless networking feature of this product is a range
shared by various devices. This product has been designed to minimize the effect of other devices
using the same range. However, in some cases interference from other devices may reduce the
connection speed, shorten the signal range or cause the connection to be terminated
unexpectedly.
When using the Sure Shot HD™ system's scan function to select a wireless LAN access point, access
points that are not intended for public use may be displayed. Only connect to an access point that
you are authorized to use.
MICRO SD EXPANSION CARD
The Sure Shot HD box features a built in Micro SD card reader that can read most SD cards up to
32GB. However, this functionality is currently disabled will be available at a later time.
DELETING APPLICATIONS
At some point you might need to free up storage space on the set top box to so that you can
download new games or applications. Deleting a game or application from your set top box does
not mean you lose it. Your privileges have been saved to your account and you can re-download
those applications at any time from the Sure Shot Shop screen.
To delete a game or app, go to MY GAMES.
From this screen, press the MENU button
on the top of the gun hardware and the
space below the game icon will turn red
with the UNINSTALL text inside that red
area.
Now, aim the gun at the app or game you
wish to uninstall and pull the trigger.
PHOTOSENSITIVITY/EPILEPSY WARNING
Please read before using this game or allowing your children to use it. A very small percentage of people are susceptible to epileptic
seizures or loss of consciousness when exposed to certain flashing lights or light patterns in everyday life. Such people may have a
seizure while watching television images or playing certain video games. This may happen even if the person has no medical history
of epilepsy or has never had any epileptic seizures. If you or anyone in your family has ever had symptoms related to epilepsy
(seizures of loss of consciousness) when exposed to flashing lights, consult your doctor prior to playing.
We advise that parents should monitor the use of video games by their children. DISCONTINUE USE IMMEDIATELY and consult your
doctor If you or your child experience:



dizziness
blurred vision
eye or muscle twitches



loss of consciousness
disorientation
any involuntary movement or convulsion

Always follow the instructions carefully. Use only batteries specified and be sure to insert item correctly by matching the +
and – polarity markings.
Do not mix old batteries and new batteries or standard (carbon-zinc) with alkaline batteries.
Remove exhausted or dead batteries from the product.
Remove batteries if product is not to be played with for a long time.
Do not short circuit the supply terminals.
RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES: Do not mix these with any other types of battery. Always remove from the product before
recharging.
Recharge batteries under adult supervision. DO NOT RECHARGE OTHER TYPES OF BATTERIES.
WARNING – REPETITIVE MOTION INJURIES
Playing video games can make your muscles, joints or skin hurt. Follow these instructions to avoid problems such as tendinitis, carpal
tunnel syndrome or skin irritation:



Avoid excessive play. Parents should monitor their children for appropriate play.
Take a 10 to 15 minute break every hour, even if you don’t think you need it.


If your hands, wrists or arms become tired or sore while playing, or if you feel symptoms such as tingling, numbness, burning
or stiffness, stop and rest for several hours before playing again.
If you continue to have any of the above symptoms or other discomfort during or after play, stop playing and see a doctor.
WARNING – RADIO FREQUENCY INTERFERENCE
The Sure Shot HD system can emit radio waves that can affect the operation of nearby electronics, including cardiac pacemakers.



Do not operate the Sure Shot HD system within 9 inches of a pacemaker while using the wireless feature.
If you have a pacemaker or other implanted medical device, do not use the wireless feature of the Sure Shot HD system
without first consulting your doctor or the manufacturer of your medical device.
Observe and follow all regulations and rules regarding use of wireless devices in locations such as hospitals, airports, and on
board aircraft. Operation in those locations may interfere with or cause malfunctions of equipment, with resulting injuries to
persons or damage to property.
END OF PRODUCT RECYCLING
The Sure Shot HD™ system is made of many materials that may be recycled. Follow local regulations when disposing of the system.
WARRANTY INFORMATION
You may need only simple instructions to correct a problem with your product. First, please visit www.shff.com/support for further
information regarding the Sure Shot HD platform.
If you’re unable to resolve the issue through our website or through Customer Support, verify on your original receipt if the product
is eligible for replacement.
HARDWARE WARRANTY: Super Happy Fun Fun, Inc. warrants to the original purchaser that the hardware product shall be free from
defects in material and workmanship for ninety (90) days from the date of purchase.
If a defect covered by this warranty occurs during this warranty period, Super Happy Fun Fun will repair or replace the defective
hardware product or component, free of charge. The original purchaser is entitled to this warranty only if the date of purchase is
registered at point of sale or the consumer can demonstrate, to Super Happy Fun Fun’s satisfaction, that the product was purchased
within the last 90 days.
SERVICE AFTER EXPIRATION OF WARRANTY: Please visit our website at www.shff.com/support for troubleshooting information and
repair or replacement options. In some instances, it may be necessary for you to ship the complete product, FREIGHT PREPAID AND
INSURED FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE, to Super Happy Fun Fun. Please do not send any products to Super Happy Fun Fun without
contacting us first.
