Grounding or Polarization — This video unit may beequipped with either a polarized 2-wire AC(Alternating Current) line plug (a plug having oneblade wider than the other) or 3-wire grounding typeplug, a plug having a third (grounding) pin.The 2-wire polarized plug will fit into the power outletonly one way. This is a safety feature. If you areunable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, tryreversing the plug. If the plug still fails to fit, contactyour electrician to replace your obsolete outlet. Donot defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug.The 3-wire grounding type plug will fit into agrounding type power outlet. When installingan outside antenna system, extreme care should betaken to keep from touching such power lines orcircuits as contact with them might be fatal.16. Overloading — Do not overload wall outlets andextension cords as this can result in a risk of fire orelectric shock.17. When all3 lamps are constantly on, the batteryis fully charged. (approx. 1 hour)Expect approx. 1 hour 15 minutes ofoperation when fully charged(EVF usage).3Remove the Battery.Slide the Battery out and then lift up.POWERLamp50 80 100%1•The three Charge Lamps “50%”, “80%” and “100%” flash and then remain lit one afteranother to indicate how much the Battery has been charged. When all three lamps arelit, charging is finished.•The Charge Lamps give a good approximate indication of the charging condition undernormal ambient temperature. However, when charging at high or low temperature, thecharge lamps may differ considerably from the actual charging condition.•When you charge two batteries, charging starts from Battery 1. At this time, theCharging Lamps for Battery 2 show the remaining charge of Battery 2. (If the remainingcharge is less than 50%, no Charge Lamp is lit.)About the Charge LampsBattery Charging Confirmation MarkerUse this marker as a reminder to yourselfwhen the battery is fully charged or in needof a charge. Especiallywhen you want to record again on acassette that is already fully recorded, besure to first locate the position where youwant to add the new recording, beforestarting to record.Notes•If hand strap is tight it may preventCassette Holder from fully opening fortape insert or eject. The DATE/TIME SETTING menu appears.4Rotate the SELECT SET WHEEL toselect the desired numbers, then,press SELECT SET WHEEL down tofix that portion and move to the next.Adjust the shaded items for the Year,month, day, hour, and minute.Note:•If you should pass the current year,continue pressing down on the SELECTSET WHEEL until the year appears again.•A built-in battery maintains clockoperation.
