For your safetyTo prevent severe injury and loss of life/property, read this section carefully beforeusing the product to ensure proper and safeoperation of your product.WARNINGPower connectionRUse only the power source marked on theproduct.RDo not overload power outlets andextension cords. This can result in the riskof fire or electric shock.RCompletely insert the AC adaptor/powerplug into the power outlet. Network settingsBefore you beginConfirm the following before you configure thebase unit to connect wirelessly to your homenetwork.RMake sure your wireless router is turned onand functioning.RMake sure that you know your wirelessrouter’s Wi-Fi settings, including its SSID(wireless network name), securitypassword, etc. In some situations, you mayalso need to know the IP-related settingsrequired in order for the base unit toconnect to your wireless router, includingyour wireless router’s IP address, subnetmask, etc.RMake sure you have the operatinginstructions included with your wirelessrouter handy.Typical configuration (DHCP)1MMENUN #5232MbN: “Wi-Fi setting” a MSELECTNRThe base unit searches for availablewireless networks and“Searching...” is displayed.RWhen searching is complete, a list ofavailable wireless networks isdisplayed, including the SSID, securitysetting, and signal strength.RThe base unit cannot find your wirelessrouter if the wireless router does notbroadcast its SSID.
