Communication speeds and distances may vary depending on surrounding conditions, such as the other device sending or receiving communications and the installation environment.
It is a characteristic of radio waves that communication speeds will tend to decrease as the communication distance increases. We recommend that communications between Bluetooth devices be conducted in as close proximity as possible.
Communication speeds may decrease if a microwave oven is being used nearby.
About Bluetooth
Installing Bluetooth Driver
Perform the following procedure after completing the first-time use operation (
ating Instructions “First-time Operation”).

When [Found New Hardware Wizard] is displayed, select [Cancel].

The CD/DVD drive (optional) is required. Install the driver for the CD/DVD drive
if necessary.
Place the Software for Bluetooth® V1. 2 CD-ROM into the CD/DVD drive.
Input [d*1:\Bluetooth Stack\setup.exe] in [start] - [Run] and select [OK].
Follow the on-screen instructions and install the driver.
*1 “d” is the drive letter of the CD/DVD drive. Change this to match the drive letter on your
own computer.
Restart the computer.
Select [start] - [All Programs] - [Bluetooth] - [Bluetooth Settings].
Follow the on-screen instructions.
NOTE
When you uninstall the Bluetooth diver, turn Bluetooth off using the Bluetooth
Switch or the Wireless Switch Utility. (see below)
Turning Bluetooth On/Off
To turn Bluetooth on/off, you need to install a Bluetooth Switch.
You may install a Wireless Switch Utility (only for models with the Wireless Switch
Utility) instead of the Bluetooth Switch. For detailed information about the Wireless
Switch Utility,
“Wireless LAN” or “Wireless Switch Utility”.
Using the Bluetooth Switch
Installing
If you have installed the Wireless Switch Utility (only for models with the Wireless Switch
Utility), uninstall it beforehand.
Place the Software for Bluetooth® V1.2 CD-ROM into the CD/DVD drive.
Input [d*2:\bluesw\setup.exe] in [start] - [Run] and select [OK].
Follow the on-screen instructions and install the Bluetooth Switch.
*2 “d” is the drive letter of the CD/DVD drive. Change this to match the drive letter on your
own computer.
Turning Bluetooth On/Off
To turn Bluetooth off
(blue icon) on the taskbar and select [Disable Bluetooth].
