The blue arc shaped design theme also reflects the smile

Motorized Display Face – A Look at Safety
Panasonic's "user-first" design is about comfort, ease-of-operation and above all, your safety. The motorized display on our CD players is just one example of how effortless control of your car entertainment
centre contributes to safe driving. Press a button and the lower edge of the motorized faceplate glides
out, tilting the faceplate to your choice of three angle settings.
The ideal viewing angle lets you grasp operation status at a
glance and keep your eyes on the road. The front face also
automatically opens for CD loading and ejection.

optional adapter to your original dashboard or steering
wheel remote control system.

Reach, grip and control! The solid tactile feedback and smooth operation of the easy-to-grip large rotary

– Big and More Beautiful
Leaping from 512 to 4096 displayable colours, the new organic luminescence (OEL) multi-colour display
achieves the high brightness and viewing angle of LEDs while outperforming the resolution and power
efficiency of conventional LCDs. Delivering 5 times better contrast than conventional LCDs and faster
response time for more dynamic expression, Panasonic OEL display technology produces dynamic 3D
action displays in up to 4096 colours on the 172x54 pixel screen. The improved readability of text makes
exploring the rich functionality of Panasonic easier than ever before. With the Customize function, you
can load and show unique images.

Variable Full Colour – The Style Setter
Match the look of your system to your car interior with Variable Colour. You can coordinate the backlight colour of your head unit display with your car interior by selecting from convenient presets or
create your own signature colour from among 9261 shades. Each RGB LED in the fine matrix can be
adjusted in 21 steps to produce very delicate shades to perfectly match your
interior or personality.

3DDM – Make It Perfectly Clear
Adding visual excitement to your dash with smoothly rendered full-motion graphics, the superb resolution of our 3DDM (3D-Dot Matrix) technology displays information with excellent clarity.
In addition to the built-in graphics, you can use our Customize feature and install a photo or image that
pulsates and moves to the sound of the music or even a moving image.
Customize – Your Signature System
Your choice of music reflects your taste and personality, and so should the look of your
system. At Panasonic's Customize site, you can choose from a wide variety of still image
variations, sets of opening /ending moving themes, and types of moving images. Just
download, burn your selection on a CD-R and install it in your system. For a truly personal touch, the "Panasonic IMAGE STUDIO" editing/conversion application can also be
downloaded and installed in your computer system, enabling
you to create a signature image for your car interior.

in and play the latest video game titles on a state-of-the-art console. Plug in a DVD changer and play your
movie collection. And of course, it is also ready for the ubiquitous iPod®, giving you easy access to your

WMA, MP3, and Smart File Management
Play music stored in the popular MP3 (MPEG Layer-3) audio compression format or the new Windows
Media Audio (WMA) – the advanced format that delivers near-CD audio quality in only half the space of
an MP3 file. Panasonic lets you do both! MP3 and WMA music files can be downloaded from online
music stores via the Internet or "ripped" from your CD library. Then just create a custom disc of your
favourite tracks by burning them onto a CD-R or CD-RW for easy loading in the Panasonic car audio system. Of course if you have our new iPod®-ready system, just load your iPod® and connect.
Your CD-R or CD-RW can be packed with up to 20 CDs of songs, giving you access to a vast selection of
music. The familiar PC-like interface of Panasonic's powerful file management system makes it easy to
navigate through a maximum of 999 files and folders per disc. Navigation of the tree of folders and files
is simple, and the user can instantly call up the display of ID tag information such as artist names and
track titles for quick confirmation. The system also offers one-touch selection of six convenient Play
modes: Random, Repeat, Scan, Folder Random, Folder Repeat, and Folder Scan.

The Bluetooth word mark and logo are owned by the
Bluetooth SIG, Inc. and any use of such marks by
Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. is under
license. Other trademarks and trade names are those
of their respective owners.

FRONT AUX Input
For easy connection of external devices like iPod® and
other external audio devices, the unit features a front AUX
input. More connectivity plus user-friendly design is what
the new lineup of Panasonic head units offers you. An
optional mini-pin jack cable for the head unit is required.

Folder Tree Navigation
The same familiar hierarchy of folders and files that
makes finding documents easy and intuitive on your
PC has been adopted for management and navigation
of compressed music files.

from a digital source into analogue and then amplify it with an analogue amp. The result is noise, distortion and inefficiencies. By directly amplifying the digital signal, Panasonic's digital amp avoids this
extra process for a cleaner sound. It also incorporates special integrated circuits to further suppress
noise and express delicate nuances with astounding clarity. Featured in our flagship CD Player/Receiver,
this direct processing and amplification of CDs and other digital
sound sources reproduces audio with amazing fidelity.

Radio DSP – Crystal Clear Reception
Panasonic's Radio DSP is more than a digital reception-ready solution. Positioned between the tuner
and the amplifier, it provides a wide range of benefits including immunity to multipath signal interference and pulse noise, signal conditioning, and improved acoustic effects. It also eliminates bothersome
interference from adjacent channels. The digital conversion technology combined with sophisticated
signal processing enhances the radio listening experience with superb clarity. Also users can choose
from three easy noise suppression presets for both FM and AM radio reception: Auto, Mid and Narrow,
or fine tune the IF filter in up to 16 steps for an ideal setting.
THROUGH Mode – Another “User-First” Idea
For the many people who use an FM Modulator to play portable devices through their car audio systems,
Panasonic’s Radio DSP features the THROUGH Mode. Found in our latest models, this FM Modulator
THROUGH Mode delivers even clearer reception from portable digital music players and other audio
devices equipped with FM transmission capability. The unique THROUGH Mode keeps the original
sound quality intact by negating the high-frequency compensation that is normally applied by the tuner.

how to get there. It provides optimum routing for the
dynamic road environment as well as access to a database of
petrol stations, restaurants and other points of interest
along the way.

DVD-ROM Navigation – A Continent on a Disc
The giant capacity of a single DVD-ROM can hold about seven CDs of data – enough to store all the navigation maps and data necessary to travel virtually anywhere in Europe. Just set a destination in any of
17 countries and you are ready to go. Regions include Austria, Benelux, Czech, Denmark, Finland,
France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United
Kingdom. Just load the disc in our versatile DVD-ROM navigation system and you have maps for almost
all of Europe as well as voice and menu data in 8 languages. Compatibility with readily available discs in

Versatile Route & Destination Setting
Panasonic navigation lets you set destinations by postcode, and even plan multi-destination routes. And
for quick selection and recall of destinations, the "Marked Point" function lets you organise and even
assign names or icons to as many as 100 points on the map, and the system automatically saves the "history" of your 100 most recent destinations for easy recall. Optimized route planning for up to 5 "via"
points is another example of how the versatile interface makes navigation so easy.
TMC – Dynamic Response
Combining navigation with real-time traffic information from the Traffic Message Channel (TMC) system*, Panasonic provides valuable intelligence and plots the safest and quickest course to your destination around traffic problems. The TMC system delivers accurate real-time data on weather, construction, disasters and other road conditions and displays them on the map. Our digital DVD navigation system highlights potential bottlenecks on your map with familiar and easy-to-understand European-standard traffic icons. Installed in the ceiling and out of the way, our new monitor/player with a flip-down 9-inch screen is almost a third
thinner. The built-in player is not only compatible with
DVD-Video, CD and CD-R/RW, but also plays MP3 music
tracks, MPEG4 compressed video and JPEG still image
content. A built-in infrared transmitter can send the audio
signal to wireless headphones, allowing enjoyment of different content in the front and back seats as well as avoiding tangled cords. Other handy features include dual VTR
inputs for connection to a variety of RCA-compatible
video sources such as gaming consoles and camcorders.

Aramid, the Super Fiber

Used in a variety of applications from aerospace to bullet
proofbody armor, Aramid is a remarkablesynthetic fiber
with amazing strength and other useful properties.To tap
these qualities, Panasonic has developed original technology to uniformly mixlong 3mm Aramid fibers in resin.
The result is a true hybrid cone material for fabrication of
even thinner and lighter diaphragms with high rigidity
and uniform characteristics throughout.
Higher Internal Loss for Crystal Clarity

The advent of the Aramid hybrid has brought us closer
than ever to realizing the ideal speaker cone. Not only
does this new material greatly improve rupture resistance, it also allows us to achieve a high internal loss
without sacrificing gains in propagation velocity.
Thanks to the superior internal loss characteristics
(twice that of our previous models), the clarity is
astounding, eliminating the muddy sound that plagues
conventional speakers.
Light and Super Thin for “Fast” Response

The conventional practice of coating, layering or sandwiching fibers provides reinforcement at the expense of
weight and thinness. With our innovative mixing technology, we can fabricate an extremely lightweight cone
that is the thinnest (0.2~0.3mm) in the industry yet still
enjoy the benefits of a high degree of stiffness and excellent shape retention. For the listener, this means a speaker that delivers incredibly fast and smooth response
across an extended frequency range, but is durable
enough to handle the awesome power of our digital
amps. From deep bass to scintillating highs, the quality of
