Keyed Alike Systems
All locks in a keyed-alike
system use identical keys. Any
lock’s key can open all the
locks within the

Master Keyed Systems
A master key opens all locks in the system, even though each lock
has its own individual key. This system permits organising submaster,
master and grandmaster systems along departmental or other
functional lines. Master keys can also be made to fit multiple groups
of keyed alike locks. For even greater convenience all custom keying
requirements for Brady lockout padlocks are keyed locally for faster
delivery time.

An effective energy isolation program is a four-step process: For lockout situations where up to 6
employees are involved in the process, hasps
are an effective device whereby all personnel
can be occupied in maintenance activities
simultaneously. Non-conductive, stainless
steel and vinyl coated hasps are widely used
in mining applications.
Valve and cable lockout devices enable
you to isolate various energy sources, when
used in conjunction with padlocks. Brady’s
extensive range of devices enables you to
select and use the most appropriate tools
for your procedure, in accordance with your
specific application.
In all lockout procedures an
employee or maintenance team doing
the servicing must have exclusive
control of the lockout devices
and padlocks.

GRANDMASTER KEY
(OPENS ALL LOCKS THROUGHOUT SYSTEM )
GROUP LOCK BOXES
Simplifies lockout of large equipment.
After machine or process is locked
out, the key or keys are placed in a
lock box. Then, each authorised work
team member places a personal lock
or tagout device onto the group lock
box. Ensures that no one employee
has access to the box unless ALL
employees have removed their locks
or tags. Heavy steel construction.
Available in red or blue. Red accepts
up to 13 individual locks. Blue only
has a window which allows you to
see the contents inside.
ELECTRICIAN’S MINI LOCKOUT KIT
Circuit breaker lockouts are an effective and affordable solution for
electricians carrying out day-to-day work. Brady’s lockout kit includes
a combination of lockouts for older style breakers and more modern
DINN style breakers, reducing the need to carry multiple kits.

BRADY KEYED ALIKE PADLOCK PACK
Three keyed alike safety padlocks in one handy pack. Padlocks come
with unique keying numbers and the option to add additional padlocks
on the same keying system. Ideal for tradespeople and maintenance

NO HOLE SINGLE POLE CIRCUIT BREAKER LOCKOUT
The “No Hole” circuit breaker lockout device will lock out most single
pole circuit breakers, and is enhanced to lock out most Federal Pacific
breakers. Accepts up to a 7mm shackle diameter lock. Fits wider and
thicker switch tongues: 16mm wide by 11mm thick (277 volt device) and
41mm wide by 14mm thick (480/600 volt device).

STANDARD PLUG LOCKOUT DEVICE
Designed for heavy duty applications, Brady’s plug lockout is an
inexpensive way to safely lock out electrical plugs. Made of rugged
polypropylene and available in two sizes.
Ideal for those situations where the plug is not under the exclusive
control of the person doing the service or performing the maintenance.
If the maintenance employee temporarily leaves the area, it prevents
anyone else from putting the plug back into its outlet. It’s a simple, cost
effective safety measure.

ORIGINAL CABLE LOCKOUT DEVICE
Flexible cable lockout devices can be used to lock out multiple valves
simultaneously all with one device. Better than chains and just as
effective, with a lot less weight. Great for security use. A cost effective
way to lock out gate valves, with many other uses as well.
GATE VALVE LOCKOUTS
Available in five sizes to fit valve handles from 25mm to 330mm in
diameter. Made of durable, non-adherent plastic to resist chemicals
and hot and cold temperatures. New stainless steel hinge design for
added strength and security. Unique “knockout” feature accommodates
OS&Y or “rising stem” gate valves. Designed to accept all locks with
up to 9.4mm shackle diameter and 19mm or greater vertical shackle
clearance. Service temperature -29°C to 149°C.
ALL PURPOSE CABLE LOCKOUT
The advantage of using cable lockouts is they can be used in a wide
variety of ways and can secure unusual energy isolating devices that
are difficult to lock out using conventional means. Its ergonomic design
makes it a breeze to tighten. Using the cable-hold device in one hand,
cinch the cable tight with the other. The lightweight body is made of
impact-modified glass filled nylon. Built-in loops keeps cable neatly
coiled when stored and also keeps extra cable from dangling loose and
posing a hazard when in use. Available with two types of cables that are
interchangeable and can be purchased separately.

DUAL LEVEL LOCKOUT
Especially designed to allow for
the removal of personal padlocks,
this lockout enables a supervisory
padlock to remain safely locked in
place, ensuring that the machine
remains isolated. Foolproof access
to the hasp entry and a tamperproof
locking facility adds another degree
of safety. Manufactured from marine
grade 316 stainless steel, the lockout
has a 5.7mm hasp shank that will fit

LOCK-OUT
PROCEDURES
1. IDENTIFY the types of energy sources used,
potential hazards, and all control devices.
2. NOTIFY all affected employees.
3. TURN-OFF all operating controls.
4. LOCATE all energy sources.
5. ISOLATE all energy sources by blocking, bleeding
and venting stored energy as found in springs,
hydraulic systems and pneumatic systems.
6. LOCK-OUT all switches and energy controls in the
‘OFF’ or ‘SAFE’ position.
7. TEST operating controls. Put all controls in the ‘ON’
position. Be sure no one can get hurt before testing.
8. RETURN all operating controls to the ‘OFF’
position.
9. PERFORM required task.
10. REMOVE lock-out devices only after the equipment
is fully assembled and all affected employees have
been notified. Each lock-out device must be
removed by the person who put it on.

be removed until all locks have

NON-CONDUCTIVE HASP
Fluorescent orange nylon lockout
hasps measure 25 x 64mm and
allow the use of up to six padlocks.
The lightweight lockouts are easily
carried from location to location and
the bright colour allows for excellent
visibility. Constructed of tough nylon,
these hasps are non-conductive and
suitable for use where electrical
current may occur.

Lockout Tags have been designed to comply with every performance
standard. All tags have a reinforced brass grommet large enough
to accept most padlocks. All tag surfaces allow employees to easily
personalise tags with their name, department and estimated
completion information.
Heavy Duty Polyester (B-837) 76x140mm
Our most durable tag. Polyester laminate protects graphics, wipes clean
and holds up against water, grease and extreme temperatures. Heavy
construction prevents accidental removal, withstands up to 36 kilos of
pullout force. Brass grommet measures 11mm accepting most
standard padlocks.
Economy Polyester (B-851) 76x144mm
Rigid vinyl surface is easy to write on and stays legible longer. Wipes
clean easily, ready to use again and again. Brass grommet measures
9mm accepting most padlocks.

The Scafftag 3 Stage System
1. Attach an appropriate holder to your application. Before
an assessment, the prohibition symbol and words “DO NOT
USE EQUIPMENT” are clearly displayed on the holder.
2. Select an appropriate insert and complete the information
needed for reporting of the inspection. Inserts are available
in a range of colours and scripts to suit various applications.
3. On satisfactory completion of the application test or
inspection, write the next test or inspection date on reverse
side of insert and place in holder. Equipment is now fit
for use.
Scafftag Mk I
The Mk I system fits all standard tube fit scaffolding. The Mk I Loading colour coded inserts incorporate informative graphics
and inspection details on the front face. Inserts are colour coded according to load (light weight, medium weight, heavy weight
or special purpose). Complete kit includes: 10 holders, 10 status inserts and 1 permanent marking pen.
