LIMITED WARRANTY
SAMSUNG Air Conditioning
Mini-Split Heat Pumps manufactured after 1/12006
1.
LIMITED WARRANTY – SAMSUNG Air
Conditioning warrants to the original end-user (“you”)
of SAMSUNG Mini-Split Heat Pumps, the “Product” as
follows:
(a) If within Five (5) years after initial installation of
the Product, the compressor ONLY in the Product
shall prove to be defective in material or
workmanship, SAMSUNG will replace the
defective compressor at no charge.
(b) If within Three (3) years after initial installation of
the Product, ANY OTHER component/part of the
Product shall prove to be defective in material or
workmanship, SAMSUNG will at SAMSUNG’s
option, repair or replace the defective part at no
charge for the part.
(c) If you are unable to prove the date of initial
installation of the Product to the satisfaction of
SAMSUNG, the warranty period shall be deemed
to commence on the 30th day after the date of
manufacture of the Product.
(d) The warranty on the replacement compressor and
replacement parts will be limited to the unexpired
term of the original warranty for the Product.

CONDITIONS – The warranty applies only if
the Product: (a) was initially installed within the
continental United States, Hawaii or Canada and
remains at the site of its original installation (except for
mobile home installations); and (b) was installed and
operated and maintained in accordance with all
written instructions, all applicable local installation and
building codes, and good industry practices.

LIMITED LABOR WARRANTY: The above
warranty applies with respect to parts only and NOT
labor. Accordingly, subject to the conditions and
limitations set forth herein, the above warranty entitles
the Customer only to receive a repaired or
replacement part, shipped via SAMSUNG’s choice of
carrier and way and not to the installation of said part.
However for a period of 120 (One Hundred & Twenty)
Days from proven date of installation in the above
warranty period SAMSUNG will provide labor services
to repair a product or install repair or replacement
parts at its designated repair facilities, or at its option,
compensate its authorized dealers and contractors at
SAMSUNG standard fixed rates in effect (irrespective
of charges actually imposed and time actually
expended) to provide such services. This limited
labor warranty covers only the installation of parts or
repair of the unit, not diagnosis of fault, time taken to
obtain such parts or travel time to and from the
jobsite. This warranty also does not cover costs for
parts (such as filters or belts) incurred in connection
with normal maintenance or owner-required
maintenance of the Product. Consult the instructions
enclosed with the Product for information regarding
recommended maintenance.

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER
damages caused by: (a) accident, abuse, negligence
or misuse; (b) operating the Product in a corrosive
atmosphere containing chlorine, fluorine, or any other
damaging chemicals; (c) modification, alteration,
repair service by any person other than an authorized
SAMSUNG dealer or HVAC contractor; (d) improper
matching or application of the Product or components
or loss of refrigerant; (e) failure to provide proper
maintenance or service to the Product according to
manufacturer’s instructions; (f) if the Product is not
applied, installed, and operated in compliance with
SAMSUNG’s written instructions, training seminars
and recommendations; (g) fluctuations in electrical
power;(h) lightning, flood, fire or other acts of God; or
(i) if the product has not been paid for in full

TO OBTAIN WARRANTY PERFORMANCE
or replacement parts you must notify an authorized
SAMSUNG dealer or your HVAC contractor in writing
of any claimed defect within the applicable warranty
period. Any defective part to be replaced must be
made available to SAMSUNG in exchange for the
replacement part. To obtain the name of the nearest

Any and all implied warranties, including
without limitation, any warranties of merchantability
and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in
duration to the lessor of: (a) the applicable warranty
period specified in paragraph 1 above, or (b) the
warranty period provided by law for such implied
warranty. Some states do not allow limitations on how
long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation
may not apply to you.
7.
In no event shall SAMSUNG be liable to the
owner of the Product or any other person for any
special incidental or consequential damages in
connection with the Product, whether arising out of
breach of warranty, breach of contract, or otherwise.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of
incidental or consequential damages, so the above
limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
8.
This warranty contains the sole express
warranty made by SAMSUNG in connection with the
Product. No SAMSUNG dealer or contractor or other
person is authorized to make any other warranties or
representations on behalf of SAMSUNG in connection
with the Product.
9.
This warranty gives you specific rights, and
you may also have other rights which vary from state
to state.
