Metamask Instructions
Block & Mortar currently writes to a test or development Ethereum blockchain called Ganache.
Below are instructions for accessing the blockchain using Metamask, a browser extension for
Chrome and Firefox that will serve as your digital wallet and the interface between the
blockchain and Block & Mortar. To interact with Ganache, we suggest using one of our ten
dummy accounts, which come loaded with fake ether currency. Account information follows.
1. Download MetaMask.
2. After downloading,
a. Open the plugin by clicking on the fox icon in the top right corner of your browser:
b. Read through and accept Metamask’s terms and conditions.
3. You’ll then be prompted to create a password. Click “import from seed phrase” to access
Block & Mortar’s dummy accounts.
4. Under “Wallet Seed” enter: sheriff kick wife donate farm oval come path session

Then enter a password of your choosing.
5. Finally, connect to Block & Mortar’s test blockchain.
a. Click the menu that shows "Main Network" and select Custom RPC.
