2 Press RESET with a pen tip or otherpointed instrument.RESET buttonAbout the demo modeThis unit features two demonstration modes.One is the reverse mode, the other is the fea-ture demo mode.ImportantThe red lead (ACC) of this unit should be con-nected to a terminal coupled with ignition switchon/off operations. If this is not done, the vehiclebattery may be drained.Reverse modeIf you do not perform an operation withinabout 30 seconds, screen indications start toreverse, and then continue reversing every 10seconds. Pressing buttonBAND/ESC/CANCEL when power to this unitis turned off while the ignition switch is set toACC or ON cancels the reverse mode. Pressbutton BAND/ESC/CANCEL again to start thereverse mode.Feature demo modeThe feature demo automatically starts whenpower to this unit is turned off while the igni-tion switch is set to ACC or ON. Turn off the AUX1when not in use (refer to Switching the auxili-ary setting on page 50).!Charging the portable audio player usingcar’s DC power source while connecting it toAUX input may generate noise. In this case,stop charging.!External unit refers to a Pioneer product (suchas ones available in the future) that, althoughincompatible as a source, enables control ofbasic functions with this unit. Two externalunits can be controlled with this unit. Whentwo external units are connected, the externalunit is automatically allocated to external unit1 or external unit 2 by this unit.!When this unit’s blue/white lead is connectedto the vehicle’s auto-antenna relay controlterminal, the vehicle’s antenna extends whenthis unit’s source is turned on. Storing the tagged informationto your iPod1 Press SRC/OFF to select iPod1/iPod2.2 When Tags transfer is displayed, useMULTI-CONTROL to select Yes.#If you do not want to store tag informations toyour iPod, select No.#Tags transfer is displayed whenever you con-nected your iPod to this unit as long as thetagged information is stored in this unit.#While transferring the tag,Transferring to iPod is displayed.
