When the hand-held is turned on from suspend state, operation resumes within a few seconds. The [SHIFT], [CTRL] and [ALT] keys operate much like a desktop keyboard except that they are not chorded (two keys held down simultaneously). The modifier key must be pressed first followed by the key whose function you want modified.Activating Modifier KeysWhen a modifier key is pressed once, it is displayed in lowercase let-ters in the taskbar at the bottom of the 7535 G2 screen. For example, if the [CTRL] key is pressed, ctrl key is displayed at the bottom of the unit screen. Once the next key is pressed, the modifier key becomes inactive and disappears from the taskbar.Locking Modifier KeysWhen a modifier key is pressed twice, it is ‘locked’ on. A ‘locked’ modifier key is displayed in uppercase letters in the taskbar. An icon of an uppercase ‘A’ is displayed in the taskbar indicating that all letters will be displayed as uppercase characters.Choosing Multiple Characters From The Same KeyIf you need to choose more than one alpha character from a single key, you’ll need to press the ‘Accept’ key between alpha selections. The ‘Accept’ key is presented as an arrow ⇒ symbol above the ‘0’ (zero) key. For example, suppose you want to type the letters ‘a’, ‘b’ and ‘c’.
