Maintenance Guidelines
Cleaning Your Monitor
CAUTION: Read and follow the Safety Instructions before cleaning the monitor.
WARNING: Before cleaning the monitor, unplug the monitor power cable from
the electrical outlet.
For best practices, follow the instructions in the list below while unpacking, cleaning, or
handling your monitor:
•
To clean your anti-static screen, lightly dampen a soft, clean cloth with water. If
possible, use a special screen-cleaning tissue or solution suitable for the antistatic coating. Do not use benzene, thinner, ammonia, abrasive cleaners, or
compressed air.
•
Use a lightly-dampened, warm cloth to clean the monitor. Avoid using
detergent of any kind as some detergents leave a milky film on the monitor.
•
If you notice white powder when you unpack your monitor, wipe it off with a
cloth.
•
Handle your monitor with care as a darker-colored monitor may get scratched
and show white scuff marks more than a lighter-colored monitor.
•
To help maintain the best image quality on your monitor, use a dynamically
changing screen saver and turn Off your monitor when not in use.

NOTE: The country code selection is for non-U.S.A. models only and is not available on all U.S.A. models. Per FCC regulation,
all Wi-Fi products marketed in the U.S.A must be fixed to U.S.A. operation channels only.
Radio Frequency Interference Requirements (For wireless device using 802.11a (5 GHz))
WARNING: This device is restricted to indoor use due to its operation in the 5.15 GHz to 5.25 GHz frequency range.
The FCC requires this product to be used indoors for the frequency range 5.15 GHz to 5.25 GHz to reduce the potential
for harmful interference to co-channel Mobile Satellite systems. High power radars are allocated as primary users of the
5.25 GHz to 5.35 GHz and 5.65 GHz to 5.85 GHz bands. These radar stations can cause interference with this device,
or can cause damage to this device, or both.
Canada, Industry Canada (IC) Notices
Class B digital circuitry of this device complies with Canadian ICES-003.
This device complies with Industry Canada license-exempt RSS standard(s). Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
(1) this device may not cause interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause
undesired operation of the device.
Under Industry Canada regulations, the radio transmitter(s) in this device may only operate using an antenna of a type and maximum
(or lesser) gain approved for the transmitter by Industry Canada. To reduce potential radio interference to other users, the antenna
type and its gain should be so chosen that the equivalent isotropically radiated power (e.i.r.p.) is not more than that necessary for
successful communication.
Warning:
The device for operation in the band 5150-5250 MHz is only for indoor use to reduce the potential for harmful interference
to co-channel mobile satellite systems;
ii
The maximum antenna gain permitted for devices in the bands 5250-5350 MHz and 5470-5725 MHz shall comply with the
e.i.r.p. limit; and
iii
The maximum antenna gain permitted for devices in the band 5725-5825 MHz shall comply with the e.i.r.p. limits specified
for point-to-point and non point-to-point operation as appropriate.
iv
The worst-case tilt angle(s) necessary to remain compliant with the e.i.r.p. elevation mask requirement set forth in
Section 6.2.2(3) shall be clearly indicated.
Users should also be advised that high-power radars are allocated as primary users (i.e. priority users) of the bands 52505350 MHz and 5650-5850 MHz and that these radars could cause interference and/or damage to LE-LAN devices.
Radio Frequency (RF) Exposure Information
The radiated output power of this device is below the Industry Canada (IC) radio frequency exposure limits. This device has been
evaluated for and shown compliant with the IC Radio Frequency (RF) Exposure limits. The device should be used in such a manner
such that the potential for human contact during normal operation is minimized.
This device has been certified for use in Canada. Status of the listing in the Industry Canada’s REL (Radio Equipment List) can be
found at the following web address: http://www.ic.gc.ca/app/sitt/reltel/srch/nwRdSrch.do?lang=eng
Additional Canadian information on RF exposure also can be found at the following web address:

Canada, avis d’Industry Canada (IC)
réduire les risques de brouillage préjudiciable aux systèmes de satellites mobiles utilisant les mêmes canaux;
ii
conformer à la limite de p.i.r.e.;
iii
