The phone may interfere with the communication
network of airplanes, so please make sure your phone
is switched off during the flight.
Please neither burn the phone battery nor use
it as ordinary rubbish, as this could endanger life
and damage to the environment. Please obey the
environmental policy of the local government and
dispose of and recycle them in time.
To avoid the risk of any explosion, please switch
off the phone at petrol stations and places which
are near fuel, chemical solvent or other dangerous
substances.
If you need to connect your phone to other devices,

Care and maintenance
Your device is a product of superior design and craftsmanship
and should be treated with care. The suggestions below will help
you protect your warranty coverage.
• Keep the device dry. Precipitation, humidity, and all types
of liquids or moisture can contain minerals that will corrode
electronic circuits. If your device does get wet, remove the
battery and allow the device to dry completely before replacing
it.
• Do not use or store the device in dusty, dirty areas. Its moving
parts and electronic components can be damaged.
• Do not store the device in hot areas. High temperatures can
shorten the life of electronic devices, damage batteries, and warp
or melt certain plastics.
• Do not store the device in cold areas. When the device returns
to its normal temperature, moisture can form inside the device
and damage electronic circuit boards.
• Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong
detergents to clean the device.
• Do not paint the device. Paint can clog the moving parts and
prevent proper operation.

guidelines.
SAR information on this model phone is on file with the FCC and
can be found under the Display Grant section of www.fcc.gov/oet/ea/fccid after
This mobile phone meets the government’s requirements for exposure to radio
waves.
This phone is designed and manufactured not to exceed the emission limits for
exposure to radio frequency (RF) energy set by the Federal Communications
Commission of the U.S. Government.
The exposure standard for wireless mobile phones employs a unit of
measurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR.
set by the FCC is 1.6W/kg.
The SAR limit
*Tests for SAR are conducted using standard
operating positions accepted by the FCC with the phone transmitting at its
highest certified power level in all tested frequency bands.
Although the SAR
is determined at the highest certified power level, the actual SAR level of the
phone while operating can be well below the maximum value.
This is because
the phone is designed to operate at multiple power levels so as to use only the
poser required to reach the network.
In general, the closer you are to a
wireless base station antenna, the lower the power output. The highest SAR
value for the model phone as reported to the FCC when tested for use at the ear
is 1.284W/kg and when worn on the body, as described in this user guide, is
1.454 W/kg (Body-worn measurements differ among phone models, depending
upon available accessories and FCC requirements.)

Use of other
accessories may not ensure compliance with FCC RF exposure guidelines.
If
you do no t use a body-worn accessory and are not holding the phone at the ear,

FCC Hearing-Aid Compatibility
(HAC)
Regulations for Wireless Devices
On July 10, 2003, the U.S. Federal Communications
Commission (FCC) Report and Order in WT Docket 01309 modified the exception of wireless phones under the
Hearing Aid Compatibility Act of 1988 (HAC Act) to require
digital wireless phones be compatible with hearing-aids.
The intent of the HAC Act is to ensure reasonable access
to telecommunications services for persons with hearing
disabilities. While some wireless phones are used near
some hearing devices (hearing aids and cochlear implants),
users may detect a buzzing, humming, or whining noise.
Some hearing devices are more immune than others to this
interference noise, and phones also vary in the amount of
interference they generate. The wireless telephone
industry has developed a rating system for wireless phones,
to assist hearing device users find phones that may be
compatible with their hearing devices. Not all phones have
been rated. Phones that are rated have the rating on their
box or a label located on the box. The ratings are not
guarantees. Results will vary depending on the user’s
hearing device and hearing loss. If your hearing device
happens to be vulnerable to interference, you may not be
able to use a rated phone successfully. Trying out the
phone with your hearing device is the best way to evaluate
it for your personal needs.
M-Ratings: Phones rated M3 or M4 meet FCC
requirements and are likely to generate less interference to
hearing devices than phones that are not rated. M4 is the
better/higher of the two ratings. The 9788 is rated
M3.
T-Ratings: Phones rated T3 or T4 meet FCC requirements
and are likely to be more usable with a hearing aid’s
telecoil than phones that are not rated. T4 is the
better/higher of the two ratings. The " Cincinnati Bell "
9788 is rated T3. The handset has not been rated
for hearing aid compatibility with respect to the Wi-Fi
capability. Please power off the Bluetooth function while
using hearing aid devices with your 9788 Hearing
devices may also be rated. Your hearing device
manufacturer or hearing health professional may help you
find this rating. Higher ratings mean that the hearing device
is relatively immune to interference noise.
The hearing aid and wireless phone rating values are then
added together. A sum of 5 is considered acceptable for
normal use. A sum of 6 is considered for better use. A sum
of 8 is considered for best use. In the above example, if a
hearing aid meets the M2 level rating and the wireless
phone meets the M3 level rating, the sum of the two values
equal M5. This should provide the hearing aid user with
“normal usage” while using their hearing aid with the
particular wireless phone. “Normal usage” in this context is
defined as a signal quality that is acceptable for normal
operation. This methodology applies equally for T ratings.
The M mark is intended to be synonymous with the U mark.
The T mark is intended to be synonymous with the UT mark. The M and T marks are
recommended by the Alliance for Telecommunications Industries Solutions (ATIS). The U and UT
marks are referenced in Section 20.19 of the FCC Rules. The HAC rating and measurement
procedure are described in the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) C63.19 standard. For
