2-WAY REMOTE STARTING SYSTEM WITH 1 BUTTONS FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION RED301-2WAY / ANT-2WDSS User Guide For Key This equipment complies with the FCC RF radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. This equipment should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 20cm between the radiator and any part of your body. WARNING It is the responsibility of the vehicle operator to ensure that their vehicle is parked in a safe and responsible manner. 1. When leaving the vehicle, it is the user’s responsibility to ensure that the gearshift lever is in “Park” in order to avoid accidents upon remote starting. (Note: Make sure that the automatic vehicle cannot start in “Drive”.) 2. It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that the remote starter is disabled or put into valet mode before servicing. Settings for the blower motor(fan),front and rear (if equipped),should not be left on HIGH. It is recommended to leave the settings on LOW or MEDIUM instead. Windshield Wipers, Headlights Certain vehicles require the windshield wipers and headlights circuits to become energized while running under remote start. When leaving the vehicle you must ensure that the windshield wipers and headlights switches are OFF. Leaving the headlights switch ON on certain types of vehicles could cause them to remain ON even after remote starter shutdown, resulting in a dead battery. Leave Windshield Wipers off to avoid damage wipers/motor with remote start. Changing the Remote Control Transmitter Battery Remote transmitter should be provided with two 3-volt lithium battery (Model: CR-2025). Please pay attention that with low battery LED in the remote might not work and the remote start distance might get shorter. Batteries can be purchased at any electronic device stores. Following the instructions below to change the remote control battery 1. You may use a coin to pry the remote control halves apart 2. Remove the old battery and replace with a new one 3. Be sure to observe the (+) sign when inserting the new battery. 4. Before assembling transmitter case, you should test the remote control. Note: LED D icon of 2way tra ansmitter indicates s firstly blue colorr and then change e to “RED” color when you press an ny button. Remote-Starting your Ve ehicle Remote-Starting For the 2 2-way remote: 1. Press tthe butto on one time. The remote will beep o once and display tthe Lock icon. The en, press the button within 2 seconds. The remote will beep once and display th he KEY icon. 2. 5 seco onds later, the rem mote will activate starter. The Key iccon will be shown with 3 different tones of beeping th hen the LED Icon will w be scrolled.. For the 1 1-way remote: 1. Press button one time and Lock LE ED will be displaye ed. Then press button for 2 se econds within 3 se econds. utton for 2 seconds. 2. Remotte Stop - Press bu If your ve ehicle does not sta art at the first attem mpt, the system w will shut down, wa ait a few seconds and a try to start the e engine again. Th here will be 3 starrt attempts before the system gives up. Note: Ple ease make sure prress to button only y after LED lightin ng ends to activate e each feature pro operly. Off (Steps from R Remote Start to Driving) Driving O With the vvehicle running re emotely, press es to disarm the O OEM Starter Kill an nd/or the OEM ala arm and unlock th he doors. Enter the e vehicle and do the button 2 time following:: 1. Turn th he ignition key to tthe IGNITION ON N (RUN) position. (Do not tu urn the key to the CRANK position while the engine is running. This w would cause the sttarter motor to ree engage. Disarm th he remote starter mode by pressing g the foot brake) 2. Press tthe brake pedal to o disengage the re emote starter unitt. With the vehicle e key is in the IGNITION ON positio on, press the brake e pedal or wait 30 0 seconds for the vehicle to turn to ready status to drive e. Note: In rremote engine sta art status, engine will w be deactivated according to following conditions. - Open th he door and 30 se econds is passed. - Press brake pedal withou ut key is in IGNITION ON position. Engine Run Time Your Re emote Car Starte er can be program mmed to run the engine for 10 orr 5 minutes (10 minutes by defau ult). Note : R Run time is set by installer. To chec ck the amount off runtime remainiing (2-way only):: After prressing button once, if you u press buttton 2 times with hin 3 seconds, re emote starter will be operated. Once remote starrter is succeeded d and the engine is turned on, the remote will receive signal an nd shows the rem maining remote starter time as a START LED icon n. When you ur vehicle is in Va alet Mode, the rem mote starter functio onalities are disab bled. If the vehicle e needs to be serv viced, or if you park it indoors, the Valet Mode will pre event the engine fro om being remote--started accidenta ally. Any of the e following feature es will put your re emote car starter into Valet Mode : Remote V Valet: This feature allow ws you to put yourr system into Valett Mode by using the transmitter. To Engag ge Valet Mode/Serrvice Mode: (Apprroaching to Functtion stop mode) 1) Insert tthe vehicle’s key tto the IGNITION, turn to the ON po osition. 2) Press and hold the vehicle brake. 3) Press and hold the remo ote button fo or 2 seconds, the key LED will flash h and the vehicle’s s indicator will flas sh 1 time. Valet mode is engaged. To take th he system out of V Valet Mode (Returrn the system to itts normal operatin ng mode): (Disarm ming “Function Sto op Mode”) 1) Insert tthe vehicle’s key tto the IGNITION, turn to the ON po osition. 2) Press and hold the vehicle brake. 3) Press and hold the remo ote button fo or 2 seconds, the key LED will flash h and the vehicle’s s indicator will flas sh 2 times, Valet mode is cancelled d. y whether the sys stem is in Valet Mode using the 2 2-way remote: To verify If system is in Valet mode, buzzer sounds shortly when lock o or unlock button iss pressed. ed Features: Installation-program mmable Options Advance The Rem mote Car Starter w was designed with flexibility and OEM integration in m mind. With its prog grammable options, this unit can virrtually control nea arly any electrical system in your vehicle. Caution: The programming of your system should be left to a professional. Changing any one of the settings may affect the operation of your Remote Car Starter. Engine Run Time setting Option Setting Condition Disarm the vehicle with remote control transmitter.(Unlock) Driver s door must be physically Open, Engine Stop, Ignition ON, Trunk Open and Hood Open. Option Setting Instruction - Under option setting condition, press button for 2 seconds. Light and Horn of vehicle will activate according to Engine Run Time option. Number of Indicator+ Horn Status 1 Time Blink OFF (Default) 2 Times Blick ON Pairing Remote Start Fob The Remote Start Fobs in Remote Start Kit are already paired with the main module at the time of production. There is no need to pair the Fobs at the time of the first installation. 1. When a new registration is needed - When replacing a remote due to loss or malfunction of a remote. - When re eplacing the main controller installe ed in the vehicle. - When a adding or changing g the remote upon n user’s need. 2. Pairing g procedure RS Fob X1 5X 1) Open d driver’s door and trunk. 2) Insert tthe key into the ig gnition. Turn the key from OFF to O ON position 5 times within 5 seconds. 3) After step 2), within 5 se econds, Press buttton on the 1st Re emote Start Fob 1 time. 4) After re egistering the 1st Remote Start Fob b, within another 5 seconds, Press button on the nex xt 2nd Remote Sta art Fob 1 time. 5) Verify tthat all Fobs are ffunctioning correc ctly by performing Lock / Unlock fun nction. NOTE: 1) A syste em can recognize e up to 3 remotes maximum. 2) If a new w Fob, or addition nal Fob, is needed d later, the Fob pa airing process sho ould be done with the original Fob or o oldest available e Fob. shooting Poor Trransmitting Rang ge Troubles Many facctors may affect th he operating range e of the transmitte er. Some of these are: -The condition of the batteries in the transmitter. -The operating environment (for example: downtown radio-frequency noise, airports, cellular phone towers, etc). -Metal in the area of the vehicle of transmitter. This includes the vehicle itself. -The shape of the vehicle can affect range as well. Vans in general have greater interference. The shape of the roof and A-pillars causes considerable radio-frequency interference. Demonstrate to users that the best range is facing the vehicle's front. The worst range is facing the vehicles right or left side. Please inform the users that facing the vehicle’s front offers the best range. The worst range is experienced facing the R or L side. -The amount of other vehicles in the area of the target vehicle. -The method of using the transmitter. Always hold the transmitter high, approximately at shoulder height. Automatic Engine Start Repeat Remote Start is programmed to repeat the engine start sequence two (2) more times after ten (10) seconds if the engine start fails because of low vehicle battery.
