or it will go into Hibeinate by pressing this key once. By pressing this key once
again. SMP—SOOO will be out of Hibernate mode.

Chapter 3. SETTING UP SMP—SOOO HARDWARES:
1, Installing the battery pack to SMP*3000.
The rechargeable battery is packed separately from SMP—BOOO and should be slide in
very carefully to the bottom of SMP~3000. ihe battery should be fully charged
belore using it for the first time.

2. Connecting to the powert
- Connect AC/DC adapter/battery charger to the power port located on the right Side
of SMP-3000.
* Connect AC/DC adapter/battery charger to the power receptacle.
- Green LED light to be btinking wilt Show on the AC/DC adapter indicating the battery
is being tuIIy charged,
3. Charging Time.
It witl take about 3 hours for the battery to be tullv chargedv
4.Handle The Battery Pack With Cautions.
> Only use the AC adapter that comes with SMP»3000.
- It the battery is not used for long period at time totally drain the battery out.
* if the temperature of the battery pack goes higher than 60 C, remove the pack and
let it cool down in room temperature bptore using it again.

- Do not disassemble the battery pack.

After battery pack is luIIy charged, press the Power Key. The green Power LED light
wrll be on indicating the power is or).

There are two ways at powering SMP-SOOO all.

1) insert the PC—LinQ driver diskette into the floppy disk drive and run the CZCfbridgeexe program
2)The PC~LinCt Setup program wrll start to begin program installation.
3) Follow the instructions on every dialog box to linistr the installation.

desktop. Repeat the same procedure on the other computer.
Driver Installation
Follow the steps below on installing the F‘C—LinQ cable tor the iirst time:
1) Power on both computers where you will connect the PC’LIDQ and make sure that the USB port
is enabled and working properly,
2) Plug in the USB cable into the USE! port and Windows will detect an unknown device and run the
Add New Hardware Wizard to assist you in setting up the new devrce
3) For Windows 98 / ME / 2000 users:
a. Select Others and click Browse, Change the tolder oi your drive (ieICIWCZC—Bridge Driver)
and click OK.
b. Double check the directory that Windows prompls. Click OK.
0. Click Finish to install drivers.
d. Windows will prompt Please insert windows 98 CD~ROM and click OKlilnIy tor Wln95).
e. Click Browse and change the tolder at your drive (rev01WCEC- Bridge Driver) and click OK.

complete.
Running the PC—LinQ Program
1) Follow the steps below on how to run the PC—LinQ program
