Important buttery information
- The car is powered by 4 xAA batteries or 4.8 V rechargeable battery (not included).
' The remote unit is powered by a 9V battery (not included)
' Batteries are to be removed. replaced and charge by an adult.
' Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
° Only batteries ol'the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
- Different types of batteries or new used batteries are not to be mixed
' The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
- II'the carts not going to be used for a long time. remove the battery and battery pack.

Changing the batter
' Locate the battery compartment on the underside ot‘the remote unit.
' Slide the ridged release catch towards the hinge to unlock the compartment door as shown in the diagram. then /
swing the door open on its hinge.
' Insert a fresh battery. observing the correct polar ' as shown insrde the compartment (negative pole on the
hinge side), / uni.-
' Swing the compartment door shut and secure it by closing the release catch firmly.

Changing the brute es in the car
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside ol‘the car.
' Ensure the car is turned off using the ON OFF switch.
' wist the release catch until the flat part aligns with the edge oftlie
door.
- You may now lift ot‘t‘thc door.
- Insert fresh-batteries. observing the correct polarity its shown inside
the compartment.
- Shut the door and secure it with the release catch

OPERATING THE CAR
Controls on the remote unit
- The remote unit has no ON on switch it automatically turns on when the controls are operated Wheri lhts

- Use the steering paddle to steer the car left orright Twist the paddle clockwise to go right oranticloekwise to
go let]
- Use the triggerto propel the ciir forwards (by pulling it back with your finger) turbackwards (by pushing it
with your finger).
- To stop the car. simply let go ol'thc trigger. allowing it to return to its central position.
Controls on the ear
‘ Use the ON ‘()FF switch on lite underside ol'the car to turn the pu\\t:t on or Off
' When driving the ear forwards without steering ten or right. it should travel in a straight line. It‘it
doesn't, use the steering alignment dial under the car to correct this. Simply turn the dial clockwise to
adjust the wheels to turn more the left. or anticlockwise to the right.
- Ensure you turn the car ol'fwhcn you have finished to conserve the batteries.
Tips for“ operating the car
' For the best range ol‘transmission. extend the remote unit's aerial fully. and hold the unit so that
the aerial points straight upwards not direct ' at the car. Also ensure there are no obstacles between
you and the car This will impede the reception ot‘signals
' The car operates most successfully on a smooth. flat. hard surface Bear this in mind before using
attempt to drive it on rough terrain.
' Try to avoid getting writer. sand or dirt in the mechanisms ol‘llie car.
' lfyou are having trouble operating the car. it may be due to interference This could be from another radio controlled toy. Walkie talkie
(1ch radio. or strong electrical signals. Try moving to a different area. orchecking your battery connections
