B) Unpacking your DSR2800 C/I Receiver
Contents of package:

If any of these pans is missing or damaged do not start installing the Receiver, In this case, contact
your dealer, who will replace the defective or missing parts
C) Connecting the DSR2800 CI] to your TV system
Ensure that the Dish and coaxial cable are properly connected before you connect the Receiver.
i) Position of Receiver
* The position of your Receiver should be chosen so that the coaxial cable to your antemia can be kept as
short as possible.
* The Receiver must be well ventilated at the rear. it must therefore not be in a closed cabinet
because this may cause heat damage!
"‘ Similarly, no other electronic equipment must stand on your Receiver - it may cause overheating!
‘ The Receiver should be put in a safe place (flunk about your pets ifany), where protection from
direct sunshine and humidity is ensured
(ii) Connecting the coaxial cable
when you connect the coaxial cable (to [N FROM DISH). ensure that the Receiver is not connected
to the mains!
Then screw the coaxial cable - coming from your satellite system - to the IN FROM DISH terminal
on the rear of the Receiver. Note that the connection must only be hand-tight (do not use a
screwdriver!) and the cable must not be under tension.
(iii) Connecting the DSRZSM C/I toyaur TV
The Receiver must now be connected to the TV by RCA cable Connect one end of the cable to the
TV OUT socket on the rear of your Receiver, and the other end to the corresponding socket on your
TV. This is probably marked wtth R L V (TV / VCR), It is advisable to read the operating
instructions of your TV By plugging one end into the TV socket on the rear of the Rweiver and the
other end into the corresponding socket on your TV
(iv) Connecting the Receiver to a Iri—fi system
If you want to connect your hi-fl stereo system to the Receiver, to obuun a better sound quaht),
pmd as follows:
Plug one end of the RCA stereo cable into the AUDIO R and AUDIO L sockets an the raw of your
Receiver, and the other two ends into the corresponding terminals on the rear of your hl-fi system.
(v) Canneaing your Digital Receiver to an analogue receiver
‘Vllh another central cable, connect the LOOP socket on the rmr of your DSR2800 (3/1 to the IF IN
socket on the rear of your analog receiver.

Making a favourite list
The DSRZBOO 01 software system can easily be progamed to meet your TV and music ncech.
Favom'ite lists are one way of doing this They give you the ability to find channels which are
particularly interesting to you or your children quickly and easily, and avoid continually jumping
over the other channels.
Advantages of making favourite lists:
‘simpler, selective channel guidance means that you can find your preferred channels more easily
and faster.
‘by pressing the FAV button, you can swttch directly between your favourite channels, without
having to jump over other channels.
Using the cursor (A and V) and ‘SELECl", make a Favorite Channel
