10Using your speakersThis section explains how to turn the speakers on, pair and connect with the phone, and use various functions. Available functions and features may differ depending on your type of phone.Some devices, especially those that are not tested or approved by the Bluetooth SIG, may be incompatible with your speakers.••Turning the speakers on or offTo turn the speakers on, touch and hold [ ] until you hear an alert and the indicator light ashes.To turn the speakers off, touch and hold [ ] until you hear an alert.••
English11Pairing and connecting the speakersPairing will create a unique and encrypted wireless link between two Bluetooth enabled devices, such as a Bluetooth phone and your Bluetooth speakers. To use the speakers with other Bluetooth devices, the devices must be paired. When trying to pair the two devices, keep the speakers and the phone reasonably close together. After pairing, you can connect the two devices.Pairing and connecting the speakers with a phone1  To enter Pairing mode, touch and hold [ ] until the speakers sound an alert.When you turn on the speakers, they automatically enter Pairing mode.2  Activate the Bluetooth feature on your phone and search for the speakers (see your phone’s user manual).
123  Select the speakers (BSP6000) from the list of devices found by your phone.4  Enter the Bluetooth PIN (0000, 4 zeros) to pair and connect the speakers to your phone.Your speakers support the Simple Pairing feature which allows the speakers to be paired with a phone without requesting a PIN. This feature is available when the phone is compliant with Bluetooth version 2.1 or higher.Disconnecting the speakersTo disconnect the speakers from your phone,Touch and hold [ ] to turn the speakers off.Use the Bluetooth menu of your phone.Reconnecting the speakersWhen the speakers are paired with a phone, they will attempt to automatically reconnect each time you turn the power on.If the speakers do not automatically attempt to reconnect,Touch and hold [ ].Use the Bluetooth menu of your phone.••••

16Answering a call while listening to musicWhen a call comes in while you are listening to music, your speakers will alert you so that you can answer the call.1  When the speakers sound incoming call tones and the blue indicator light ashes twice, touch [ ].The music stops and you are connected with the caller.2  When you have nished the conversation, touch [ ].Your phone automatically resumes playback after the call.
English17Setting a DNSe sound effectDNSe (Digital Natural Sound Engine) is a technology that enhances listening experience. 3D sound mode simulates the surround sound, while Bass boost mode reinforces the bass output.1  Touch [ ] until the desired sound effect is selected.2  Touch and hold [ ] to check the current sound effect setting.Sound effect LED indicatorStandard Blinks once3D sound mode Blinks twiceBass boost mode Blinks three times3D & Bass boost mode Blinks four timesThe DNSe feature is not available when you use the line-in cable to connect to an external device.
18Connecting the speakers to a music playerYou can use your speakers with a phone and a Bluetooth enabled music player at the same time.1  First, pair the speakers with a phone. See page 11.2  When successful, touch and hold [ ]. The speakers will sound an alert.3  Search for, pair, and connect with the music player by following the instructions in the music player’s user manual.4  Touch and hold [ ] to connect with the paired phone.5  When the phone and the music player are successfully connected to the speakers, you can make or answer a call while listening to music.You must use the music player to start, pause, and resume playback, and scan backward and forward in a music le.
English19Connecting the speakers to another device via  the line-in cableYou can connect your speakers to a music player with the supplied line-in cable.1  Touch and hold [ ] to turn the speakers off.2  Connect one end of the line-in cable to the line-in jack and the other to the music player.
20Using Power saving modeWhen no device is connected to the speakers and they remain idle for more than 5 minutes, the speakers will enter Power saving mode. To return to Normal mode, touch and hold [ ].
English21AppendixFrequently asked questionsWill my speakers work with laptops, PCs, and PDAs?Your speakers will work with devices that support the same Bluetooth version and proles. For specications, see page 25.Why do I hear static or interference while on a call?Appliances such as cordless phones and wireless networking equipment may cause interference, which usually sounds like static. To reduce any interference, keep the speakers away from other devices that use or produce radio waves.
22Will my speakers interfere with my radio or computer?Your speakers emits signals that are in compliance with the international Bluetooth standard. Therefore, you should not expect any interference with standard, consumer-grade electronic equipment.Why do I hear an echo while on a call?Adjust the speakers volume, or move away from the speakers and try again.How do I clean of my speakers?Wipe them with a soft dry cloth.
