TheBluBand™willnormallybesuppliedinSLEEPmode.Thismodereducespowerconsumptiontoa

minimumandallowsthedevicetobestoredbetweeninitialmanufactureandfirstuseforupto6

months.TheBluBand™isactivatedbylightandwillenternormalmonitoringmodebyremovingfromits

box.OnceactivatedtheBluBand™devicewilloperateforatleastoneyearundernormaloperating

conditions

TheBluBand™doesnothaveafieldreplaceableorrechargeablebattery.Allunitsshouldbereturnedto

SatelliteTrackingofPeople(STOP)oncethedeviceindicateslowbattery.Thedevicewilllastatleasttwo

weeksfromfirstnotificationoflowbatteryuntilitwillceaseoperating.Pleaseensureareplacementis

fittedduringthisperiod

TheBluBand™deviceoperatesinconjunctionwiththeBluHome™Device.Foroptimalperformance

locatetheBluHome™inthecenterofthehomeonthegroundfloor.Itshouldbeplacedapproximately

twotothreefeetoffthefloorandawayfromelectronicsthatmaycauseinterference.

Inserttheclipintotheslot,lininguptheclipwiththetwoguideholesinthestrap.Pressfirmlyonthe

clipuntiltheclipclicksintoplace,sittingjustbelowthemaincaseoftheBluBand™(Illustration2)

Putthedeviceroundtheankleandcuttheotherendofthestraptofitensuringthestrapiscutalong

oneoftheguidelinesmarked.InsertthestrapintotheothersideoftheBluBand™(Illustration3)

Insertthesecondclipintotheslot,lininguptheclipwiththetwoguideholesinthestrap.(Illustration4)

Pressfirmlyontheclipuntiltheclipclicksintoplace,sittingjustbelowthemaincaseoftheBluBand™.
