Before You Begin
The BluBand™ will normally be supplied in SLEEP mode. This mode reduces power consumption to a
minimum and allows the device to be stored between initial manufacture and first use for up to 6
months. The BluBand™ is activated by light and will enter normal monitoring mode by removing from its
box. Once activated the BluBand™ device will operate for at least one year under normal operating
conditions
The BluBand™ does not have a field replaceable or rechargeable battery. All units should be returned to
Satellite Tracking of People (STOP) once the device indicates low battery. The device will last at least two
weeks from first notification of low battery until it will cease operating. Please ensure a replacement is
fitted during this period
The BluBand™ device operates in conjunction with the BluHome™ Device. For optimal performance
locate the BluHome™ in the center of the home on the ground floor. It should be placed approximately
two to three feet off the floor and away from electronics that may cause interference.

operating mode and any alarm status being transmitted

offenders home
Please refer to the Veritracks operating instructions on how to enter an offender details and to
link the BluBand™ device to the offender via a BluHome.
To install the BluBand™ device onto the leg you will require a strap, strap cutter and two clips
Quick Installation
Install one end of the supplied strap into the BluBand™ device ensuring the strap is cut exactly along the
guides lines marked (Illustration 1)

Insert the clip into the slot, lining up the clip with the two guide holes in the strap. Press firmly on the
clip until the clip clicks into place, sitting just below the main case of the BluBand™ (Illustration 2)

Put the device round the ankle and cut the other end of the strap to fit ensuring the strap is cut along
one of the guide lines marked. Insert the strap into the other side of the BluBand™ (Illustration 3)

Insert the second clip into the slot, lining up the clip with the two guide holes in the strap. (Illustration 4)

Press firmly on the clip until the clip clicks into place, sitting just below the main case of the BluBand™.

Ensure the BluBand™ is a snug fit by inserting a finger between the BluBand™ and the leg. (Illustration 6)
Installation is complete. To ensure the Bluband is transmitting correctly and to confirm no alarms please
refer to the DriveBy operating instructions
