 Savi P/N 805-00TBD-001 (Rev.A) Keep This Document EchoPoint Tag ST-644 installation Guide  The EchoPoint ST-644 tag consists of a printed circuit board with a non-replaceable battery enclosed in a hermetically sealed plastic case. • The EchoPoint ST-644 tag contains three labels.  One face of the tag has a label that includes the tag serial number in both bar code and numerical format.  The other tag face has a label with company logo and product model number.  The bottom of the tag has a label with compliance markings. • The EchoPoint ST-644 tag can be exposed to environments including rain, snow and direct exposure to sunlight. • The tag battery life is approximately 10 years under normal operating conditions.  The tag contains an internal lithium battery and should be discarded according to local safety requirements.   Tag Mounting / Attachment • The EchoPoint ST-644 has two mounting holes, 10mm in diameter, for attachment using screws or rivets. • The tag may be mounted vertically or horizontally • In some applications, there may be a preferred orientation of the antennas. The circuit card assembly is located on the sloping face of the case opposite the battery location.  The battery side of the case is indicated by the presence of a rounded bar approximately 0.5 x 5.0mm near the end of that face. • The EchoPoint ST-644 tag can be mounted on items of any material. After installation, verify tag operation by exposing it to a 600 Series Signpost and reading the Tag ID with a 600 Series SaviReader.
