Overview This chapter covers some com mmon prroblems that t mayy be encoountered w while ussing the Wireless IP Camera annd some possiblee solutionns to them m. If youu follow the sugggested steeps and the Wireeless IP Camera s doess not funcction prooperly, coontact yoour dealeer for furrther advice. still Prooblemss Prooblem 1: I can't connect t the Wiireless IP to P Cameraa with my m Web Browser to configuure it. Sollution 1: It is posssible thaat your PC's P IP adddress is not com mpatible with w the IP address of the W Wireless IP I Cameera. Prooblem 2 When I try to coonnect too the Wirreless IP Camera,, I get prrompted for f a user nam me and password d. Sollution 2 You SH HOULD be b promppted for a user naame and passworrd if tryin ng to access the t Admiinistratioon menu.. Enter thhe Adminnistrator ID and Administ trator Paassword set s on thee Maintennance scrreen. If you are a just trrying to vview Viddeo, the User U Nam me/Passw word pro ompt indicatees that thhe Adminnistrator has h restrricted acccess to sppecified uusers. Ask thee Adminiistrator fo for your User U Nam me and Password d. Prooblem 3 I can't connect t the Wiireless IP to P Cameraa using a Wirelesss connecction. Sollution 3 1) If a L LAN cabble is connnected too the LA AN port, the t Wireeless inteerface is disabledd. Only one o interrface can be activve. 2) Checck that yoour PC and a the W Wireless IP I Cameera have ccompatibble Wirelesss settinggs. Prooblem 4 • Moode (Infrrastructuure or Add-hoc) muust be coorrect. • ES SSID muust matchh. • WEP settinngs mustt match. • In Ad-hoc mode, thhe Channnel shoulld match, althouggh this is often noot reqquired. Video qquality may m suddenly deteeriorate. 62 Solution 4 Problem 5 Solution 5 Problem 6 Solution 6 This can happen when an additional viewer connects to the Wireless IP Camera, overloading the camera or the available bandwidth. The image size and quality can be adjusted to cater for the required number of viewers and the available bandwidth. The motion detection feature doesn't send me any E-mail. It may be that the SMTP (Simple Mail Transport Protocol) server used by the camera to send the E-Mail will not accept mail. (This is to prevent span being sent from the server.). Try using a different SMTP server, or contact your ISP to see if SMTP access is being blocked. Using the motion detection feature, I receive E-Mails which don't show any moving objects. The motion detection feature doesn't actually detect motion. It compares frames to see if they are different. Major differences between frames are assumed to be caused by moving objects. But the motion detector can also be triggered by: • Sudden changes in the level of available light • Movement of the camera itself. Try to avoid these situations. The motion detection feature works best in locations where there is good steady illumination, and the camera is mounted securely. This feature can NOT be used if the camera is outdoors. Problem 7 Solution 7 The image is blurry. Try cleaning the lens, or adjusting the Video Quality Control setting on the Streamings screen. Video created by the lower settings will contain less detail; this is the trade-off for using less bandwidth. Problem 8 When is the best time to press WPS button? Solution 8 If there is no cable connected, you can press the WPS button after the Power LED starts blinking. Problem 9 In some older Window XP systems, it may not be able to see H.264 video streaming. Solution 9 Problem 10 In order to view H.264 video streaming in the older Window XP systems, please install the Microsoft .net framework 2.0 or later version, so the system will be able to deploy the built-in H.264 decoder of the camera. I use the camera via IE browser in protected mode of Windows Vista/7, there is no local recording/setup feature to be used. Even if I run it with IE browser in non-protected mode of Windows 7, the folder like "Windows" still can not be accessed. (There is no recording files found in this folder as well) Solution 10 There will be no local recording files and the setup service of associated folder if the IE browser is in protected mode. To use the local recording feature, please operate IE browser in non-protected mode. Note! Some folders (ex. Windows folder) with high integrity level can not be accessed via non-protected mode of IE in Window 7. 63 Apppeendix A Sppeciificaationns Wirreless IP Caamera Moodel Wireeless IP Camera Dim mensionss 65mm m (W) x 65mm (H) ( x 34m mm (D) Opperating Tempera ature 0° C to 40° C Viddeo comppression H.2664 and MJPEG Imaage resollution 12800x 720, 640x480, , 320x 2440 (QVG GA) Stoorage Tem mperaturre -20° C to 70°° C Network Prrotocols TCP/IP, UDP P, ICMP, DHCP,, NTP, D DNS, SM MTP, FTP P, HTTP,, TPS, DDN NS, RTP P, RTSP, RTCP, UPnP HTT Network Innterface 1 RJ-45 LAN N connecction for Ethernett throughh Micro USB U to Ethernet Cabble Wiireless innterface IEEE E 802.11n/802.111b/802.1 1g comppatible, WEP W 64/1128 bit, WPA A/WPA22 personaal securitty supporrt LE EDs Pow wer Adaapter 12V//1A, 1000~240 VA AC Reggulatoory Appprovaals FCC C Statem ment This eqquipment has h been tessted and foound to com mply with thhe limits foor a Class B digital deevice, pursuuant to partt 15 of the FCC rules..
