Up to 100hours for standby.•Flexible pipe microphone.•Volume control function on the earset.What's Bluetooth?Bluetooth is a new technology that enables wireless datacommunication by mobile phones, computers or othermobile devices.Bluetooth wireless technology operates within a rangeof about 10 meters* (about 30 feet).*Obstacles (body, metal, wall etc.) or receptionconditions may adversely affect the usable range.Notes•The communication with Bluetooth wirelesstechnology may be affected by the conditions below.–Obstacles between the Bluetooth earset and theBluetooth earset adaptor or mobile phones withBluetooth wireless technology: Body, metal, walls, etc.–Electromagnetic waves: A place where a wireless LAN is installed, amicrowave oven is used, or where electromagneticenergy exists•The above is also subject to the mobile phone’santenna and reception conditions.

The Bluetooth earset andthe Bluetooth earset adaptor return to the standbymode.To shut down the unitsFTo shut down the BluetoothearsetHold down the POWER/TALK buttonon the Bluetooth earset until LEDturned off.GTo shut down the Bluetoothearset  adaptorHold down the Pairing/Power offbutton with the point of the plug orsimilar instrument until LED turnedoff.When the telephone isreceivedPress your mobile phone buttons.There is a mobile phone that can receive pressingthe POWER/TALK button.To adjust the volumePress the VOLUME + or – while SCO Link.The beep of current volume is heard every time bypressing each button.When the volume setting is maximum or minimum, thebeep does not sound for the exceeded operations.N Operating the systemWearing the headset1Hook the Bluetooth earset aroundyour ear, as you would glasses.2Adjust the position of the Bluetoothearset to fit comfortably.Changing the direction ofthe hangerThis unit can be worn on the right or left ear by thefollowing procedure.1Holding the housing firmly, unlatchthe hanger assembly.RL2Holding the housing, rotate thehanger, and then pull out in thedirection of the arrow.LR  gLRTipThe unit comes with 2 hanger sizes to ensure acomfortable fit.LR3Turn the hanger around as illustratedbelow, and attach in the direction ofthe arrow.LL4Rotate the housing.RLLNoteThe housing and the hanger are marked left (L) andright (R). For example, when using the left ear, thehousing is set in the L position, and the hanger isattached with the L mark visible.Operating the unitsGeneral operation flow is described as follows:To shut down the unitsTo change into a standby modeThe mobile phone provided function may notcorrespond. Refer to the manual supplied with yourmobile pone.To change into a standbymodeATo prepare the Bluetooth earsetHold down the Multifunction buttonon the Bluetooth earset about 7seconds.When the LED blinks fast blue, release the button.The LED becomes to blink slowly blue.NoteTake care that if the Maltifunction button hold downabout 10 seconds, the status goes pairing mode.BTo prepare the Bluetooth earsetadaptor1Press the POWER ON button a fewseconds.When the LED lights up blue and green, after theLED becomes to blink slowly blue.2Connect the Bluetooth earset adaptorto your mobile phone.If there are not obstacles between the Bluetooth earsetand the Bluetooth earset adaptor, the communicationsensitivity goes up.CTo communicate of the units(SCO LINK)Press the Multifunction button.The Bluetooth earset and the Bluetooth earsetadaptor start communication (SCO LINK), so thatthe sound from mobile phone is heard by theBluetooth earset.And the voice talking by the pipe microphone istransmitted to the mobile phone.When the SCO LINK has been started, the LED onBluetooth earset adaptor lights up green, then thatblinks blue.The LED on Bluetooth earset blinks 3 times blue.VOLUME + VOLUME -How to use the carattachmentThe car attachment (supplied) can be used hold theBluetooth earset adaptor, by installing it in the vent ofthe air conditioner of your car.It is convenient for charging/using while driving.Standard installationHorizontal fin9 mm (min)7 mm (min)17 mm (min)3 mm (min)Vertical fin17 mm (min)9 mm (min)7 mm (min)3 mm (min)2.5 mm tripepolarity jackPairing the unitsTo pair Bluetooth earset with Bluetooth earsetadaptorThe Bluetooth earset and Bluetooth earset adaptor comealready paired from factory. To pair the Bluetooth earsetand Bluetooth earset adaptor again after use, do thefollowing.1Place the Bluetooth earset and theBluetooth earset adaptor closetogether, as illustrated.1m*2While the Bluetooth earset is turnedoff, hold down the Maltifunctionbutton.The LED will blink in blue for the first 7 seconds(approx.). Keep pressing until the LED blinks blueand green.3Press the Power on button on theBluetooth earset adaptor.4Hold down the Pairing / Power offbutton with the point of the plug orsimilar instrument (for about 3seconds) until the LED lights up blueand green.After a few seconds, both units the blue/greenblinking will change to blink only blue, indicatingStandby mode.NoteTime out for pairing mode is as follows:The Bluetooth earset : about 60 seconds.The Bluetooth earset adaptor : about 20 seconds.To pair Bluetooth earset with a mobile phonefor Bluetooth wireless technologyThe Bluetooth earset can pair directly a mobile phonewith Bluetooth wireless technology. Do the following.1Place the Bluetooth earset and themobile phone close together within1 m.2Repeat above step 2.See “To pair Bluetooth earset with Bluetoothearset adaptor”.3Search the Bluetooth earset by themobile phone.If the mobile phone detects the Bluetooth earset,“DR-BT1” will appear in the display of the mobilephone.4Select “DR-BT1” in the list, then inputthe passkey* (0000).After a few seconds, the setting is completed.*Passkey may also be called the following.– Pass code, PIN code, PIN number, Password.NoteRefer to the manual supplied with your mobile phone.
To install the carattachment1Attach the hook to the rear of theattachment. Ensure it is the correctway round. (See illustration)2Attach the spacer under the hookfirmly after peeling off the double-faced tape.3Insert the hook in the vent of the airconditioner. Confirm the hook isfirmly clipped to the fin.4Dock the Bluetooth earset adaptor’sbelt clip in the attachment.Tips•Use the other hook (L) if the air conditioner is sloped.•You can adjust the inclination of the attachment bysliding the rear of the car attachment.•Install the hook to face side ways if the fin of the airconditioner is vertical. g      To remove the attachment1Push the car attachment back, andpush gently it off the fin.2Remove the attachment whilesuppressing the fin.NoteIf the attachment is pulled out and catches the fin, itmay damage it.SpacerN Additional informationDisposing of theBluetooth earset andadaptorFor environmental conservation, be sure to remove thebuilt-in rechargeable battery from the units before youdispose of them, and dispose of the battery appropri-ately.In the case of theBluetooth earset1Remove the two screws from the rear.RL2Push hard around the arrow asillustrated to unlatch the unitassembly.3Lift lightly by the pipe microphone.4Remove each XXX first, and thenremove the battery from the XXX.5Remove the connector.In the case of theBluetooth earset adaptor1Remove the screw from the rear.2Raise the cover by the belt clip.3Remove the connector.4Pull out the battery.NoteBe careful not to touch the circuit board attached to thebattery box. Hold the battery box (black plastic box)when you remove them.Precautions•Do not leave the Bluetooth earset system in a locationsubject to direct sunlight, heat or moisture.•Consult local lows and regulations regarding use ofthe Bluetooth earset while driving or cycling.• Using the Bluetooth earset may not functiondepending on radio wave conditions and locationwhere the equipment is being used.•If you experience discomfort after wearing the earset,take off the Bluetooth earset immediately.•Start dialing after connecting the Bluetooth earset toyour mobile phone.Notes on earsetPreventing hearing damage avoid using earset at highvolume. Hearing experts advise against continuous, loudand extended play. If you experience a ringing in yourears, reduce the volume or discontinue use.Caring for othersKeep the volume at a moderate level.
