25Setting up the KeypadChapter 3Setting up theKeypadThis chapter provides you withinformation regarding installation, hookup and settings for the optionalKeypad.Installing the KeypadA Keypad must be installed in a junction box (optional).Follow the procedures below to mount a Keypadmounting bracket and a Keypad on the wall.Installing the Keypad1Place the Keypad mounting bracket over a junctionbox which has already been installed on the wallwith the mounting lips facing out.2Attach the Keypad mounting bracket to thejunction box with the supplied screws at the fourpoints as shown below.Proceed to the steps in “Zone related cables hookups”on page 17 before mounting the Keypad.NoteThe Keypad mounting bracket may not fit easily over somejunction boxes. In this case, loosen the screws and move theKeypad mounting bracket left to right to center on thejunction box.
Setting up the Keypad263Insert the top of the Keypad onto the mountingbracket first, in the direction of the arrow 1 untilit clicks, then push the bottom of the Keypad ontothe bracket in the direction of the arrow 2.4Fix and tighten the Keypad mounting screws asshown below.5When you have finished mounting the Keypad, check that it operates properly.Removing the Keypad1Remove the screws that hold the Keypad and theKeypad mounting bracket.2Press and hold the edge of the upper-side of theKeypad tightly. Pull the lower part of the Keypadaway from the Keypad mounting bracket first, then pull the upper part of the Keypad outslightly, lifting it in the direction of the arrow, asshown below.NoteYou may need some extra effort to remove the Keypad fromthe wall since there are various kinds of junction boxes, andthe installation environment of the Keypad differs.Installing the Keypad
