When it is turned on, it emits low levels of radiofrequency energy (also known as radio waves or radiofrequency fields).Governments around the world have adoptedcomprehensive international safety guidelines, developed by scientific organizations, e.g. ICNIRP(International Commission on Non-Ionizing RadiationProtection), through periodic and thorough evaluation ofscientific studies. These guidelines establish permittedlevels of radio wave exposure for the general population. All Sony Ericsson mobile phone models are designed tooperate within these stringent levels. The levels include asafety margin designed to assure the safety of allpersons, regardless of age and health, and to account forany variations in measurements.Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) is the unit ofmeasurement for the amount of radio frequency energyabsorbed by the body when using a mobile phone. TheSAR value is determined at the highest certified powerlevel in laboratory conditions, but the actual SAR level ofthe mobile phone while operating can be well below thisvalue. This is because the mobile phone is designed to usethe minimum power required to reach the network. Therefore, the closer you are to a base station, the morelikely it is that the actual SAR level will decrease.Variations in SAR below the radio frequency exposureguidelines do not mean that there are variations in safety. While there may be differences in SAR levels amongvarious mobile phones, all Sony Ericsson mobile phonemodels are designed to meet radio frequency exposureguidelines.A separate leaflet with SAR information for this mobilephone model is included with the material that comeswith this mobile phone. This information can also befound, together with more information on radio frequencyexposure and SAR, on www.SonyEricsson.com/.DRIVINGPlease check if local laws and regulations restrict the useof mobile phones while driving or require drivers to usehandsfree solutions. We recommend that you use only

Pleaseavoid placing the mobile phone over the pacemaker, e.g.in your breast pocket. When using the mobile phone, place it at the ear opposite the pacemaker. If a minimumdistance of 15 cm (6 inches) is kept between the mobilephone and the pacemaker, the risk of interference islimited. If you have any reason to suspect thatinterference is taking place, immediately turn off yourmobile phone. Contact your cardiologist for moreinformation. For other medical devices, please consult themanufacturer of the device.CHILDRENDO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN TO PLAYWITH YOUR MOBILE PHONE OR ITSACCESSORIES.
