Getting startedTo prepare using your accessory with an Xperia™ deviceBefore you can use your BSP10 accessory with an Xperia™ device, for example, toplay music or handle incoming calls, you must first pair the two devices. You can pairyour BSP10 accessory with an Xperia™ device using either the Bluetooth® or NFCfunctions. Once the devices are paired, your BSP10 accessory automaticallyestablishes a connection with the Xperia™ device.To pair the BSP10 accessory with an Xperia™ device using NFC1On the Xperia™ device, make sure that the NFC function is turned on and thatthe screen is active and unlocked.2Turn on the BSP10 accessory.3Position your Xperia™ device in such a way that the NFC detection area ofeach device touches the other.To pair the BSP10 accesory with an Xperia™ device using Bluetooth®1Xperia™ device: Make sure the Bluetooth® function is turned on.2BSP10 accessory: Press and hold down the Bluetooth pairing button until youhear a beep and a blue notification light flashes rapidly.3Xperia™ device: Search for and connect to the BSP10 accessory. When theaccessory is successfully paired with the Xperia™ device, the notification lightturns solid blue.To use the BSP10 accessory to answer incoming calls1Make sure the BSP10 accessory is paired with an Xperia™ device thatsupports call handling.2When a call comes in, press  .Please note that the calling function and call button is not supported for VoIP call.To use the BSP10 accessory to listen to music1Make sure the BSP10 accessory is paired with an Xperia™ device.2Play the audio or video file on the Xperia™ device. Disconnecting and reconnectingTo disconnect your Xperia™ device from or reconnect it with youraccessoryThere are several ways to disconnect your Xperia™ device from or reconnect it withthe BSP10 accessory:•On the Xperia™ device, deselect or select BSP10 in the list of paired Bluetooth®devices.•Place the Xperia™ device over the BSP10 accessory so that the NFC detection areaof each device touches the other.To pair with another device1On the Xperia™ device, deselect BSP10 accessory in the list of pairedBluetooth® devices.2Repeat the pairing procedures using NFC, see To pair the BSP10 accessorywith an Xperia™ device using NFC.3Repeat the pairing procedures using Bluetooth®, see To pair the BSP10accesory with an Xperia™ device using Bluetooth®.6This is an Internet version of this publication. © Print only for private use.
TroubleshootingI cannot answer a second call•Make sure that your calling device supports the Bluetooth® Handsfree profile.•Make sure that the correct calling device is selected.The Bluetooth® Speaker turns off unexpectedly•If the speaker beeps several times shortly before turning off, the battery level is low.Charge the battery.Unexpected behaviour•Reset the speaker.No connection between Bluetooth® Speaker and other device•Make sure that the speaker is charged and within range of the device that you wantto connect to. A maximum distance of 10 metres (33 feet), with no solid objects inbetween, is recommended.•Disable the Bluetooth® function in the other device so that all connections areclosed, then re-enable the Bluetooth® function and pair the speaker with the deviceagain.7This is an Internet version of this publication. © Print only for private use.
