WelcomeImportant InformationBefore you use your device, please read the ImportantInformation provided in your device regarding warranty,safety and handling information.Protecting your device fromwater and dustYour device has IP (Ingress Protection) ratings of IP55 andIP58. These ratings mean that your device is dust resistantand is protected against low pressure water stream as wellas against the effects of submersion for 30 minutes infresh (non-saline) water up to 1.5 metres deep.Always firmly attach all covers to ensure the water anddust resistance of the device. If liquid is detected insidethe device, for example, underneath one of the covers,your warranty will be void.Before using your device in water and in dusty conditions,refer to the relevant section of the User guide for yourdevice for more detailed information. You can use a VPN to access intranets and otherinternal services at your company.To turn on Wi-Fi®1From your Home screen, tap  .2Find and tap Settings.3Drag the slider beside Wi-Fi to the right to turn on theWi-Fi® function.It may take a few seconds before Wi-Fi® is enabled.To connect to a Wi-Fi® network automatically1From your Home screen, tap  .2Find and tap Settings.3Tap Wi-Fi. All available Wi-Fi® networks are displayed.4Tap a Wi-Fi® network to connect to it. Downloading from GooglePlay™You can download all kinds of applications fromGoogle Play™, including free applications.To open Google Play™1From the Home screen, tap  .2Find and tap Play Store .To download a free application1In Google Play™, find an item you wish to downloadby browsing categories, or by using the searchfunction.2Tap the item to view its details, and follow theinstructions to complete the installation.About EmailYou can handle several email accounts at the sametime using the Email application, including corporateMicrosoft Exchange Active Sync accounts. Emails youreceive to your Gmail™ account can be accessed onyour device from both the Email and the Gmail™applications.To set up an email account1From your Home screen, tap  .2Find and tap Email.3Follow the instructions that appear on the screen tocomplete the setup.For some email services, you may need to contactyour email service provider for information ondetailed settings for the email account.
TroubleshootingMy device is not respondingIf your device hangs, or if you cannot restart it normally,you can force the device to shut down.To force the device to shut down1Press and hold down both the volume up key and thepower key   for 10 seconds.2After your device vibrates three times, release the keys.The device turns off automatically.
