Secure the w wired commander using either of the re ecommended mountting methods dettailed below. Bracket Moun nt • Insert wired commander through h cut-out and securre with bracket using included harrdware as detailed in n the diagram. Screw Mountt • Secure the w wired commander to o the mounting surfa ace using #6 stainless steel pan head screws (not included) as detailed in the d diagram. Choose a mo ounting area for the e tuner/amplifier mod dule that will provide e plenty of ventilation n to prevent the amp plifier from overheatting. The tuner/amp plifier module can be mounted in the horizontal or vertica al position. Please note that with the harness exit points when mounting in vertical position, do not mount w ht up, as water can collect around the cchassis in these are eas. facing straigh 2. Using the sh hortest length of the recommended size e screws possible, m mount the tuner/ am mplifier as detailed in the diagram on th he below. Route the tuner/amplifier harnes ss and cable throug ghout the vessel as required. Keep some slack in th he harness/cables so it won't be too tigh ht, as this can causse damage to the wires. Follow the w wiring diagram carefu ully and make certa ain all connections a are secure with iinsulated crimp connectors to ensure p proper operation. After comple eting the wiring conn nections, reconnect the negative termin nal on the battery a and turn the unit on to confirm operation n (vessel accessoryy switch must be on).. If the unit does nott operate, disconnecct battery, recheck a all wiring and re efer to the trouble-shooting guide locate ed in the back of the manual. 3. 4. 5. P1 WIRING COMMANDE ER TUNER/A AMP MODULE P1 BASIC OP PERATION Audio Menu Press the Menu button (9) on the control panel to access the aud dio menu. You can naviga ate through the audio menu items by ro otation the Encoderr Knob and pressin ng the Encoder Kn nob to make selectio on. Rotate the Enco oder Knob clockw wise to increase and d counter-clockwise to decrease. The unit will automatically exit the audio menu after 10 se econds of inactivity. The following menu items can be adjustted. Bass Level Use th he Encoder Knob to o adjust the Bass le evel range from “-6” to “+6”. Treble e Level Use th he Encoder Knob to o adjust the Treble level range from “-6 6” to “+6”. Balance he Encoder Knob to o adjust the Balance e between the left and a right speakers Use th from “L L12” (full left) to “R1 12” (full right). Faderr Use th he Encoder Knob to o adjust the Fader between the rear an nd front speakers from “R R12” (full rear) to “F F12” (full front). Equalizer Press the EQ soft button to t turn on the equallization function and d select between five pre-defined bass and treble curves: Userr > Flat > Rock > Classical > Pop. Loudn ness Press the Loud soft butto on to toggle loudnes ss on/off. When liste ening to music at olumes, this feature will boost the bass and treble ranges. low vo Power On/Offf Press the Powerr button (1) to turn th he unit on/off. Volume To increase the vvolume, rotate the Encoder Knob (5) cclockwise. To decrea ase the volume, rotate the Encoder Knob counter-clockwise. Play/Pause/M Mute Press the ►|| buttton (4) on the contrrol panel to pause o or mute the audio ou utput. Press ►|| button again to unmute orr restore the audio o output to the previou us level. Mode Press the Mode b button (6) on the co ontrol panel to enterr mode selection dissplay. Continue to presss the Mode button to page through the available playback modes. BT Pa air: Press Encoder Knob to confirm se election and put the P1 into pairing mode. • Battery A Alarm (On/Off) • Battery A Auto Off (On/Off) • Reset to o Defaults: Press En ncoder Knob once to confirm. (Resetss unit to factory d default settings) • About: P Press Encoder Kno ob to view software version information n. If Batte ery Alarm is set to “O ON”, an alarm will sound (3 beeps every 30 sec) when the voltage drops to 10.8V V (+/- 0.3V). A visua al warning (Battery Low) will appear flashin ng on the LCD displa ay. NOTE E: “OFF” is the defa ault setting for Batttery Alarm. If the audio is muted or the vo olume is set to 0, th he audible beep will w not be heard. Auxilliary Input To acc cess an auxiliary dev vice: 1. Connect the portable audio player to the e AUX IN cables rou uted from the rear off the radio. 2. Prress the Mode butto on (6) twice to view the Auxiliary option n. 3. Prress the Auxiliary soft s button to select auxiliary audio inpu ut mode. Liquiid Crystal Displlay (LCD) The cu urrent frequency and d activated function ns are shown on the e LCD panel (10). NOTE E: LCD panels may take longer to res spond when subjec cted to cold tempe eratures for an exte ended period of tim me. In addition, the e visibility of the numbers on the LCD ma ay decrease slighttly. Rotate the Encoder Knob to select a dig git (0 – 9) for each number position. 3. Prress the Encoder Knob button to conffirm each digit and move to the next digit. 4. Upon entering the las st digit, the unit will tune to the desired channel number. PRESETS Preset mode optiions available are Preset, Tune and Liist. SiriusXM Channel Lock Feature The Pa arental Control featu ure allows you to lim mit access to any SiiriusXM channels, including those with mature content. When enabled, the Parenta al Control feature require es you to enter a pa asscode to tune to th he locked channels. Upon enterring the last digit, the unit will prompt fo or confirmation of the code. 7. Repeat the e same steps to ente er the code again. Reset SiriusXM Channel Lock Code If you forget your Parental Control lock code, use the following directions to reset the code to the default “00 000”. Resetting the lock code will not affect the locked channels list. 1. In SiriusXM mode, tune to Channel 0 (R Radio ID).
