Connect to a Bluetooth Headset

From the home screen, tap
/Settings/Bluetooth.

Tap to turn Bluetooth
on.

Your phone will
automatically search for device. Tap the name
of the device to pair and connect with it.
Connect to Wi-Fi Network

From the home screen, tap
/Settings/Wi-Fi.

Tap to turn Wi-Fi on.

Tap a network name. Enter
a password if required and

Setting Up Your Phone
You'll need to set up your device before you can
explore all its great features.
Installing a SIM Card and microSD Card
Your new GoPhone SIM card is pre-installed. If you
are an existing AT&T customer, replace it with your
current SIM (see instruction #3 below). If your
SIM does not fit, use the new SIM that is already
inserted and call Customer Care at 800-331-0500
to update your account.

1. Remove the back cover
via the notch at the left
bottom of the phone.
2. To insert a SIM card, push
the SIM into the card slot
with the gold-colored
contacts facing down.
3. Insert the microSD (sold
separately) card with the
gold-colored contacts
facing down.
4. Replace the back cover.

Touch Screen and Navigation
Your phone features a touch screen, so you can
gently tap, quickly swipe, or pinch with two fingers
to navigate.
Navigating Your Phone
• Use your finger tip to
lightly touch the screen.
• Use quick flicks of your
finger on the touch
screen to swipe up, down,
left and right.
• Spread two fingers apart
or pinch them together
on the screen to zoom in
or out on a web page or a
gallery image.
• To return to the previous
screen, press the Back key .
• Press the Home key at any time to return to
the main home screen.
• Press and hold the Home key to open Google
Now.
• Press the Overview key to view recently used
applications.
• Tap to access applications on your phone.

Adding Apps to the Home screen
1. Tap from the home screen to view apps.
2. Tap and hold an icon to move to desired location.
Adding Shortcuts to the Home screen

Press and hold a blank part of the home screen
and tap WIDGETS.
2. Tap and hold an icon and drag it to a home screen

Set the Wallpapers
1.
Press and hold a blank part of the home screen
and tap WALLPAPER.
2. Tap GALLERY or LIVE WALLPAPER to choose the
image or animation to use as the wallpaper. You
can also tap a default image as the wallpaper.
Organize your Home screen
1. On the home screen, tap and hold an app icon
and drag it to another icon to create a folder.
2. To name the folder, open it and tap Unnamed
folder. Enter a name and tap .
3.
Tap the folder to open it and access items in the
folder.

Notification Panel
When there are notifications, tap and swipe down
from the top to open the Notification panel to
read more detailed information.

Network Indicator
Your 4G LTE wireless device will indicate which of
the AT&T wireless networks you are connected to.
A network indicator does not necessarily mean
that you will experience any particular upload or
download data speeds.
4G LTE: Connected to the AT&T 4G LTE
network.
4G: Connected to the AT&T HSPA+ network.
The AT&T 4G HSPA+ network is capable
of delivering 4G speeds when combined
with enhanced backhaul. 4G availability
is increasing with ongoing backhaul
deployment.
GRPS: Connected to GPRS network.
EDGE: Connected to the AT&T 4G LTE
EDGE/2G network.
Actual data upload and download speeds depend on
various factors, including the device, network utilization,

Contacts and Phone calls
Keep the contact information of your friends in
Contacts and synchronize these with applications
on the web or on your phone. Call friends and
check voicemail in Call.
Import Contacts from the SIM card
1. From the home screen, tap .
2. Tap icon to open the options menu, then tap
Import/Export.
3. Tap Import from SIM card, select an contact
you need and tap .
Add a Contact
1. From the home screen, tap .
2. Tap . Enter details and tap when finished.
Make a Call
1. From the home screen, tap .
2. Enter the desired number from the keyboard
directly or select a contact from CONTACTS or
RECENT by sliding or touching tabs, then touch
to place the call.
Check Voicemail
1. From the home screen, tap .
2. Tap to open dialpad , tap and hold .
3. Follow voice prompts to listen to messages.
Messaging
Send text or multimedia message to communicate
privately and quickly.
Send a Text Message
1. From the home screen, tap .
2. Tap icon to write a new message.
3. Enter the mobile phone number of the recipient
in the To bar or touch to add recipients and
touch the Send message bar to enter the text
of the message.
4. Tap to send the message.
Send a Multimedia Message
1. From the home screen, tap .
2. Tap icon to write a new message.
3. Enter the mobile phone number of the recipient
in the To bar or touch to add recipients and
touch the Send message bar to enter the text

Email
Access your GmailTM, corporate email, and personal
email wherever you are.
Email Setup
1. From the home screen, tap .
2. Tap the email server you wish to use.
3. Enter your email address and password and
then tap Next.
4. Confirm email account settings and tap Next.
5. Name the account, enter your name as it will
appear on outgoing messages, and tap Next.
Your email will begin to synchronize with your
phone.
Create and Send an Email
1. From your email inbox, tap .
2. Enter an email address in To bar.
3. Enter a subject and email message.
4. To attach files to the email message, tap and
make your selection.
5. Tap Send to send your message.
Camera and Video
Take pictures and record videos right from your
phone with the camera and camcorder and then
share them with friends and family.
Take a Picture
1. From the home screen tap Camera .
2. Tap to select camera mode, touch to
adjust your camera settings. Spread two fingers
apart or pinch them together on the screen to
zoom in or out.
3. Tap to take a photo.
Record a Video
1. From the home screen tap Camera .
2. Tap to start recording.
3. Tap to capture a picture while recording.
4. Tap to stop recording.
Share a Picture or Video
1. From the home screen tap / Gallery.
2 Tap a photo or video. Tap and select an option
for sharing.

Browsing the Web
Your phone has two options for Internet access.
Use the Browser or Google ChromeTM to view web
pages and search for information.
Opening a Web Page
1. From the home screen, tap .
2. Tap the address bar, enter the website you want
to browser, and tap Go or .
3. Press to return to the page you viewed
previously. Tap / to go forward.
Adding a Bookmark
1. Open a page or tap /Bookmarks/Add bookmark.
2. Give the bookmark a name and tap OK.
Update Your Apps
1. From the home screen, tap .
2. Tap /My apps.
3. Tap UPDATE ALL. Or, if you'd like to update
apps individually, tap the desired app UPDATE/
ACCEPT.
4. Once installed, you will see a notification in the
Notifications bar. To open the app, locate it in
the App tray.
Optimize Battery Life
There are several things you can do to make your
battery last longer.
• Turn on Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, mobile data, and
auto-sync only when you need to.
• Lower the screen brightness.
• Use Bluetooth tethering or USB tethering (when
you have a cable) instead of portable Mobile
Hotspot to share your phone's data service.
• Touch Overview key on any screen and close
the apps you do not need but still run in the
background.
• From the home screen, tap /Settings/
Battery, touch to turn on Battery saver mode.
