Conn nect the Ethernet Cable If you u intend to use the e network camera as a wired device, connect one end of the included Ethernet cable into the Eth hernet port on the rear panel of th he network. If yo ou cameera and connect the other end to an available port on your prefeer to use the came era on a wireless network, see below w for instructions on connecting the power adapter. 2. Attacch the Power Supply WPS Co onnection An alterrnative method of connecting your caamera to your netw work is by using WPS. W WPS is a quicck, simple and secuure method of adding devices to a neetwork. If you have a router which supports WPPS follow the stepss below, otherwise,, please use the wired mode of o setting up the ca mera. 1. Attach the Powe r Supply 2. on on Press the WPS buutton on your wireeless device then prress the WPS butto the camera. Attacch the included pow wer supply to the DC D 5V 1.2A receptor on the rear panel of the camera and then connect it to a wall w outlet or pow wer strip. Connect an RJ‐455 cable from a swiitch/router to the Ethernet port on the t back of the camera annd connect the AC C power adapter to o the camera. Clickk Next to proceed. 3. From the list of ccameras that appeears, select the cam mera you wish to configure and click Next tto continue. If yo our camera is nott listed, ensure that it is o re‐scan to connected to booth power and thee network and click the network for yyour camera. Insert the included CD‐ROM into o your CD/DVD drivve. The Install Wizaard program will ru un automatically. Note: If the Install Wizard does not run, you may have autorun disabled on you ur t the CD drive an nd run InstallWizard.exe to begin th he machine. In this case, browse to installation wiizard. Begin by seleecting Setup Wiza ard and follow the on‐screen step ps to continue th he installation. When the insttallation of the Setup Wizard is complete, run the Setup p Wizard: 1. Wireless Conn nection Mode: Infrrastructure is a wireless connection using an access point as a ttransmission pointt of all wireless devvices. Ad‐Hoc is a wireless connectio on used without an acce ess point, where your TV‐IP551W W or TV‐IP551WI is direcctly connected to o your PC. This iss done using the on‐board wireless adap pter on the TV‐IP5 551W or TV‐IP551 1WI connected to a wireless adapte er on th he PC. SSID:: Service Set Identifier. This is an identifier for your network. Manuallly enterr the SSID of your wireless network or o select it from th he drop down menu. You ccan click Site Survvey to see a list of wireless networkks within range an nd further details of their settings. Wireless Channel: Whe en using Infrastructture mode, the chaannel is specified by the aaccess point and the channel will no ot be selectable on o this menu. Whe en usingg Ad‐Hoc mode, you can specifyy on which chan nnel you want to comm municate with the camera. Encryyption Type: It is highly recommende ed that you encryp pt the connection. Your network administrator should be able to provide you with the necessary details to complete th his section. o Dynamic IP (D DHCP) – Allows a DHCP server to auto omatically assign th he camera a netw work address. o PPPoE – If you u are using a PPPo oE connection, enter your user nam me and password here Dynaamic IP: Enter the Domain Name Server addresses which translate name es to IP addresses. Dynaamic DNS: The Dyn namic DNS feature e allows you to hosst a server (e.g. we eb serveer, FTP or Game se erver) using a dom main that you own n with a dynamicallly assigned IP address. Many ISPs assign IP addresses dynamically i.e. the IP addreess changes each time you connect and disconnect. Using a Dynamic DN NS servicce provider, you can connect to your camera no matter what your IP addreess. Enter the detaails of your dynamicc DNS service provider here. HTTP P Port: You may configure a secon nd HTTP port that will allow you to connect to the camera using a standard web w browser. The port can be set to a numb ber other than the default TCP porrts 80. A corresponding port must be open ned on the router. User Name: Thhe user name o of the sender’s eemail account fo or SMTP authentication. Password: The p assword of the sen nder’s account for SMTP authentication. Use SSL‐TLSS/STA ARTTLS: If your maail server supports SSL‐TLSS or START TTLS, you can select one off these methods to o create an encrypted connection to the mail server. Pressingg the Test button will make a connection to the FTP Server and up pload a file called teest_date_time.jpg to the FTP. If the t file is not theree, you should checkk that you have enttered the FTP details correctlly in the configurattion section. E‐mail Test When you y have set up an e‐mail account in the configuration ssection, you can usse this the screen to t test that the E‐m mail settings are co orrect. Pressing thee Test button will make camera send a test e‐maill to the address speecified in the configuration section. Iff you do not receeive the test e‐maiil, you should check that you have en ntered the e‐mail details correctlly in the configurattion section. © Copyright 2 2012 TRENDnet. Clicking Y Yes will initiate a reboot sequence on o the camera. When you restart th he camera yyou will lose your connection to it. Wait 1 minute be efore attempting to reconnectt to the camera so that it has time to go through its boot up sequencce. Restartingg the camera will retain the configuraation settings you have entered. this If you should need to resttore the camera to o the factory settin ngs, you can do it from screen. Clicking Yes will iinitiate a reboot ssequence on the ccamera. When the camera nd password will also a both restartss, you will lose youur connection to itt. The username an be set back to the defaultt admin. Wait 1 m minute before attem mpting to reconnecct to the camera so that it has timee to go through its boot up sequence. Note: Factory reset will erase the currentt configuration setttings on the camera. You should back up the settinngs first if you wish h to keep them.
