However, we strongly recommend that the transmitter should always beoperated with a suitable load to prevent damage to the transmitter output power stage.1.4 Caution: Beryllium Oxide & Power TransistorsThe RF power transistors in current use all contain some beryllium oxide. This sub-stance, while perfectly harmless in its normal solid form, can become a severe healthhazard when it has been reduced to dust.
