ConnectingThroughUSBUsetheUSBtoMicroBcabletoconnectthedevicetoyourcomputeronlywhen:Youwanttochargethedevice,butyoudon’twanttousetheACcharger,ortheACchargerisnotavailable.Toconnectthedevicetoyourcomputer:1.Insertthelarger(USB)endoftheUSBtoMicroBcableintothecomputer.2.Inserttheother(MicroB)endoftheUSBtoMicroBcableintotheUSBconnectoronthesideofthedevice. ChargingtheDeviceYouneedtorechargeyourdevice’sbatteryperiodically.Youcancontinueusingyourdevicewhileitischarging.Tochargethebattery,youhavetwooptions,asshowninthedrawingbelow.YoucanconnectthedevicetoanACcharger(fasterwaytocharge).(See“UsingtheACChargerwithUSBPort”)Alternatively,youcanconnectthedevicetoacomputer(slowerwaytocharge).(See“ChargingThroughaComputer”)
UsingtheACChargerwithUSBPort 1.Insertthesmaller(MicroB)endoftheUSBtoMicroBcableintotheUSBconnectoronthesideofthedevice.2.InserttheotherendoftheUSBtoMicroBcableintotheACcharger.3.InserttheACchargerintoanelectricaloutlet.Whencharging,theLEDshowsand,itwillbeflashinguntilfullycharged.ChargingThroughaComputer1.Ensurethecomputeristurnedon.2.Insertthelarger(USB)endoftheUSBtoMicroBcableintothecomputer.3.Inserttheother(MicroB)endoftheUSBtoMicroBcableintotheUSBconnectoronthesideofthedevice.Whencharging,theLEDshowsand,itwillbeflashinguntilfullycharged.PowerButtonTurningYourDeviceOnandOffTurningYourDeviceOn1. Wi‐FiState:keepbothbatteryandsignalstrengthlampsshowingthecurrentstatus.TurnonAPtolightuptheWi‐Filamp.
5. InternetAccessState:theInternetaccesslampwillbeonifthemodemissettoautoconnectionmode.Otherwise,thelampwillbeflashing.6. Systemshutdown:bothbatteryandsignalstrengthlampsbecomeredthenallthelampsareoff.7. Power‐offState:allthelampsareoffevenifyoupressanybutton(ifyoupressthepowerbuttonandholditfor3seconds,thedevicewillbeturnedon).Allthelampswillbeturnedoffforpowersavingpurposeafter1minuteidletime.Pressinganybuttonwillwakeupthelampstoshowthecurrentstatus.LEDIftheLEDisnotlit,see“TurningYourDeviceOn”.InterpretingtheLEDTheLEDshowsiconsthatreflectthestatusofthedeviceandyourconnection.MeaningoftheLamps1.
