Do not block any of the ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the Manufacturer’s instructions. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat. 9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. When the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet. 10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus. 11. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer. 12. Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over. 13. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time. 14. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped. 15. The AC mains plug is used as the power disconnect device and it should remain readily accessible and operable during intended use. In order to completely disconnect the apparatus from power, the mains plug should be completely removed from the AC outlet socket. 17. CAUTION: To reduce the risk of fire or explosion, do not expose batteries to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or other heat sources. 5 In the Box SINGING MACHINE HOME UNIT HOME ADAPTER HOME ADAPTER CABLE HOME MIC-REMOTE CONNECTION Turn unit over to connect AC Adapter and HDMI cable to connect to television (sold separately) 6 Bluetooth® Speaker Operation 1. Plug in AC Power Adapter compatible with Singing Machine Home automatically turns on with sound when powered - there is no power button. Wirelessly connect any Bluetooth® device to Singing Machine Home to stream audio through the 2.1 channel speakers. 7 2. Activate Pairing Preparing Bluetooth® device Turn on Bluetooth® and enable your device to be discoverable. Please refer to the device’s user guide for specific instructions. Select “SMC-Home” from the list of Bluetooth® compatible devices to pair. The Bluetooth® speaker is now ready to stream your music. 8 Mic-Remote Operation 3. Install batteries Open the Mic-Remote by gently pulling the top of the battery cover with a fingernail or small tool. Insert batteries (4 x AA not included) as shown in the illustration below and replace the battery cover. Singing Machine Home automatically detects the Mic-Remote. Press down on the optical trackpad to pair. The LED will first turn red and then steady green to indicate successful pairing. An unpaired Mic-Remote will display a flashing green light. 9 Mic-Remote Operation 4. Mic-Remote The Mic-Remote is used to navigate Singing Machine Play and to control volume. Turn off by pressing and holding down the optical trackpad for 4 seconds. The LED will turn steady red and will then go dark when the MicRemote is off. Connecting to Television Singing Machine Home is an elegantly crafted wireless speaker that delivers soulful, room-filling sound. When the mood is right, Home turns into an on-demand, WiFi-enabled karaoke machine. Connected via HDMI, Home provides instant access to Singing Machine Play, a platform that streams more than 8,000 HD karaoke music videos. Make sure the TV is turned off before connecting the HDMI cable (not included) and the AC adapter (included) as illustrated before. 11 Using Singing Machine Play Singing Machine Home defaults to Bluetooth® speaker mode; a message on your television screen will prompt you to switch over to Singing Machine Play mode, providing you with instant access to thousands of karaoke tunes. Light will be green to show active subscription 1. Click the optical trackpad to exit Bluetooth Speaker and switch to Singing Machine Play 2. A list of available wireless networks will be displayed, select from list or enter manually 3. A Login/Create Account screen will appear. Follow the instructions to get started 12 6. Setting Up Your Account To get started, set up your account either in Singing Machine Play or on the Singing Machine website (http://www.singingmachine.com). A valid credit card is required to register an account. 2. An active internet connection through a Wifi network is required to use Singing Machine Play. 3. Navigating the User Interface Use the Mic-Remote to scroll through Singing Machine Play by flicking your thumb over the optical trackpad in the direction you want to move. FEATURED BROWSE BY SEARCH MACHINES SETTINGS Press down once on the optical trackpad to make a selection. Press and hold down the optical trackpad for 2 seconds to bring up the Quick Menu at any time, which can be customized in the Settings. Holding down the trackpad for 4 seconds will turn off the Mic.-Remote. To switch back to Bluetooth® Speaker, you can either scroll to your username at the top of the menu and select Bluetooth® speaker, or bring up the Quick Menu and select the option. After 10 minutes of inactivity, Singing Machine Home will automatically switch to the Bluetooth® Speaker mode.
