Replace the battery cover and press any button – the status LED will be green if the batteries are good 3. When the batteries start to lose their charge, the status LED will blink red, indicating that new batteries are required. 4. Pressing any button while the remote is asleep causes the remote to ‘wake up’, ready for use. To prevent interference between neighboring systems, radioMiroTM devices must acquire a unique house ID before use. It’s simple! 1. With all devices installed and energized, check that every radioMiroTM device is showing a yellow LED. If not, check that the circuit breaker is on and that the device is correctly installed. 2. All devices in a home must be ‘bound’ to the same home ID. For a new radioMiroTM installation, simultaneously press and hold the top and bottom (Ú) of any device paddle for 2 seconds. Its LED flashes yellow, indicating that it has acquired a unique House ID. 3. Check that all other radioMiroTM device LEDs are flashing green, indicating that they have acquired the same House ID. 4. Return to the first device, and press Ú again for 2 seconds. All device LEDs revert to green, indicating that house binding is complete. Note: if you’re adding the device to an existing radioMiroTM installation, simply press and hold Ú on any previously bound device for 2 seconds to start the procedure, verify that the newly added device LED is flashing green, indicating that it has acquired the House ID. Press and hold Ú for 2 seconds again on the same previously installed device to terminate. Handheld devices will not respond to a binding signal when they are not in use. Français Español Either wake them up by pressing any button prior to binding, or add them to the House later. Room Setup 1, 3 Figure 3, Room Binding Go! When all the radioMiroTM devices in the room are successfully bound to the House ID, it’s time to bind them together as a Room. The procedure is the same, but it must start from a radioMiroTM room preset controller. 1. Go to the radioMiroTM room remote, and press Ú For 2 seconds. Its LED starts flashing yellow, and all the others start flashing green. 2. Go to each other radioMiroTM device in the room and press Ú for 2 seconds. The LED of each device starts flashing yellow as you add it to the Room. Be sure to bind every radioMiroTM device in the room. You only need to bind one member of a Group into the room. 3. Return to the room remote and press Ú for 2 seconds to terminate Room binding. All Room devices revert to green status LEDs. 4. You can repeat the procedure any time you need to change Room configuration. Use Ú (2 sec) to toggle devices in and out of the Room. Flashing yellow LED = in, flashing green LED = out.) Important – when you’ve bound the remote to a Room, it belongs to that Room only. You cannot share a remote between two Rooms. Use Status LED Preset Buttons 1-4 (recordable) Raise/Lower Rocker OFF button (not recordable) Seek Button Figure 4 First, make yourself comfortable! You may as well get used to controlling your environment with your feet up! Controlling Individual Devices You can select and control any radioMiroTM device already bound in to the room (see previous section). 1. Press the seek button – each time you press it, the radioMiroTM remote selects the next radioMiroTM device bound in to the room. If it’s a lighting circuit, the light will momentarily blink, telling you which circuit you are controlling. If it’s a nondim device or a fan control, the device status LED will flash. Either way, you know which device you’ve selected. 2. Having selected a device to control, use the raise/lower rocker, as follows: Touch × momentarily to fade the circuit to its last-used level (or full bright if the circuit is already on) Press and hold × to increase the present level Touch Ø momentarily to fade the circuit to OFF Press and hold Ø to decrease the present level 3. When you select a radioMiroTM fan control from the room remote, the five preset buttons act as fan speed controllers – from fastest at the top to stop at the bottom. Figure 5 3, 5, 6 Recording and Recalling Scenes 4. Use the radioMiroTM remote to record and play back scenes. Note that the five scenes available from the remote are the same five scenes that you access from the room preset controller. 5. To record a scene, adjust the lighting in the room as described above, then press and hold one of the top four (recordable) preset buttons for two seconds. The status LED will blink, confirming that the scene has been recorded. 6. To recall a scene, simply press any of the recordable preset buttons, and the scene will smoothly fade from the prior lighting state. Pressing the bottom OFF button causes the Room to fade to black. Overriding the lighting level 7. Want the lights a little brighter – or dimmer? Just press and hold the raise/lower rocker to get it just right. All the dimmers in the Room will increase or decrease their levels accordingly. Advanced Users Figure 6 More Scenes You can increase the number of presets in a room up to a total of 16. You will need one radioMiroTM room preset controller and/or remote for each four presets. If you want more than four presets, you will have to choose which set of four presets you wish to control from the room remote. Set up as described above, then set any controller to be used for presets above 4 as follows: Simultaneously press Ú and one of the following preset buttons, to set the presets to be controlled by each controller: A (top) = presets 1-4 (factory setting) B = scenes 5-8 C = scenes 9-12 D = scenes 13-16 Cleaning Clean only using a cloth dampened with water and a little mild detergent. Use of solvents or hydrocarbon-based cleaners may cause permanent damage. Troubleshooting Problem: At house binding, not all the radioMiroTM devices in the house are flashing green. In larger homes, some of the devices may be out of range of the initiating device. In this case, it will be necessary to add a radioMiroTM Radio Repeater to boost radio signal range. Problem: I messed up the configuration, and I need to clear down and start again. You can reset any radioMiroTM device to factory default settings by pressing and holding for 10 seconds. The LED reverts to yellow, indicating that factory settings have been restored. Problem: The Room Remote does not seem to pick up all the devices in the Room When a room remote is ‘asleep’ it will not respond to changes in Room binding setup. Maybe a change to Room binding took place (you added a device?) and the remote doesn’t know about it. Simply press Ú for two seconds TWO TIMES, and the remote will re-tabulate its list of Room members.
