CHANGING TONE/MELODY SELECTIONTo change to a different tone or melody,press once on the small raised Buttonlocated on the bottom front of theButton. Receiver will play next selection.To continue changing melody orselection, press down once again andwait for Receiver to confirm change. Note: If you change melodies or tonestoo rapidly, the Receiver will not playeach selection. Only last melody or toneselected will play. Selecting whileReceiver is playing will switch system to newsetting, but Receiver will only finish playing toneor melody already in progress.FRONT/BACK DOOR CHIME OPERATIONWith two Chime Buttons, scroll and set a different selection foreach door. By remembering which tone/melody is played, youcan tell which button is pressed. Chime Buttons may also beused as hand-held pagers.TO REPLACE BATTERIES1. Remove Chime Button from backcover by inserting flat headscrewdriver in notch at bottom ofButton and turn. Lift Chime Buttoncover away from the back plate.2. Remove old battery(s) by placing aballpoint pen directly beneath thebattery(s). For RC4121, lift the topbattery out of the batterycompartment. Repeat with secondbattery. (Do not hit Chime Button toremove batteries - this coulddamage the Button.) Dispose ofused battery(s) promptly. Keepaway from children. Do notdisassemble and do not disposeof in fire. 3. Replace old battery(s) with newbattery(s), positive (+) side up.BATTERY CAUTION – Do notrecharge, disassemble, heat above100ºC (212ºF), or incinerate. Replaceonly with UL approved Type CR20323 volt lithium batteries, such as,Carlon RC3395D. Use of anotherbattery may cause failure of the transmitter and will voidmanufacturer's warranty and liability.TROUBLESHOOTING TIPSPROBLEM: Receiver does not sound when button is pressed.SUGGESTION: Verify that Button battery(s) is installed correctlyand battery contacts are in the correct position. Try replacingButton battery(s) first. Make sure outlet is functioning. PROBLEM: Chime only plays “dong.”SUGGESTION: Press Scroll Button on Transmitter to changesound options.PROBLEM: Receiver sometimes plays without anyone pressingChime Button.SUGGESTION: If another Wireless Chime System is on the samefrequency nearby, it could accidentally trigger your system. If thishappens, change privacy code.PRIVACY CODES AND HOW TO CHANGE THEMIt is NOT necessary to change the privacycode unless interference occurs. If youneed to change code:1. Use a nail clipper or wire cutter to cutand separate one of the wires ("A"through "E") on Chime Receiver. Makesure cut wire does not touch any otherwire.2. Remove back cover from Chime Buttonand locate the wires, which areadjacent to the battery(s). The wires aredesignated "A" through "E" with letterslocated immediately above them.3. Using a nail clipper or wire cutter, cutand separate the same wire that wascut on the Chime Receiver. Make surethat the cut wire does not touch any otherwire.Note: It doesn’t matter which wires arecut, but be sure that the same wire cuton the Button matches that of theReceiver. If the wire cut on the ChimeButton does not match the wire cut onthe Chime Receiver, the system willnot work.Suggestion: Begin by cutting just one wire in the Chime Receiverand the same wire in the Chime Button. Test to see if the problemis eliminated.
