41L1700-608-10A 英文 3SPECIAL NOTES ON LCD MONITORSThe following symptoms are normal with LCD monitor and do not indicate aproblem.NOTES•Due to the nature of the fluorescent light, the screen may flicker during initialuse. Turn off the Power Switch and then turn it on again to make sure theflicker disappears.•You may find slightly uneven brightness on the screen depending on thedesktop pattern you use.•The LCD screen has effective pixels of 99.99% or more. It may includeblemishes of 0.01% or less such as a missing pixel or a pixel lit all of thetime.•Due to the nature of the LCD screen, an afterimage of the previous screenmay remain after switching the image, when the same image is displayedfor hours. In this case, the screen is recovered slowly by changing theimage or turning off the Power Switch for hours.•When the screen becomes black or flashing, or cannot illuminate any more,contact your dealer or service center to replace parts. 41L1700-608-10A 英文 5ADJUSTING THE VIEWING ANGLE•For optimal viewing it is recommended to look at the full face of the monitor,then adjust the monitor’s angle to your own preference.•Hold the stand so you do not topple the monitor when you change themonitor’s angle.•You are able to adjust the monitor’s angle from -5° to 20°.Figure 3NOTES•Do not touch the LCD screen when you change the angle. It may causedamage or break the LCD screen.•Careful attention is required not to catch your fingers or hands when youchange the angle.

The other control buttonsare located at  front panel of the monitor (See Figure  4).  By changing thesesettings, the picture can be adjusted to your personal preferences.•Connect the video cable from the monitor to the video card.•Press the power button to turn on the monitor position. When OSD menu is in active status, this button will act as EXIT-KEY(EXIT OSD menu)2. The screen may be damaged by any liquid splash.•To keep the monitor looking new, periodically clean it with a soft cloth.Stubborn stains may be removed with a cloth lightly dampened with a milddetergent solution. Never use strong solvents such as thinner, benzene, or

As a safetyprecaution, always unplug the monitor before cleaning it.HOW TO ADJUST A SETTINGThe monitor controls are accessed by pressing button MENU to enable OSD(On-Screen-Display). The main menu will be displayed as follows (see figure5) .If OSD window is in English when power on (see figure  6), press theContrast/UP Key or Brightness/Down Key to choosethe next window. Choosethe Chinese, then press MENU Key for confirming. OSD window will display inChinese.1. Press the MENU-Key  to show the OSD window. See figure 5.2. Press    or   to select the adjusted item, then press the MENU-key .3. Press     or   to change the settings of selected item. Press MENU-key   when desired setting is done.4. If you want to adjust any other items, repeat steps 2-4.5. To exit and save the setting, press  or   to the exit item and pressMENU-key , or leave the monitor alone for a few seconds.6. When the OSD window is active, it shows the input signal timing. It presents twodifferent color sets on the screen. You can select7800K or 6500K by pressing MENU Key.              6.2  USER MODE  ( Red / Green/ Blue  )                     If the 7800K  normal white or  6500K warmer white donot  satisfy your desire, properly adjust R .G. B GAINcontrols to obtain your optimum whiteness level.       7. RESET                      Press RESET to restor the monitor to factory settings.•   Active-off ModeWhen both the H and V sync signals form the computer are off, the monitorenters into Active-off Mode which reduces the power consumption to lessthan  3W. The screen becomes dark, and the power indicator turns toorange. From Active-off Mode, the screen reappears instantaneously whenthe keyboard or the mouse is touched again.•   The power-saving mode can be indicated by the light-emitting diode (LED)on the front panel:FEATURESGreen monitor•The monitor has a screen saver function that conforms to the VESAstandard. This feature will only work if your PC is a green PC. This feature issimilar to a screen saver, except that your monitor will turn it off instead ofactivating the screen saver.To activate this feature in Windows® 95/98/2000/XP:In Windows® 95/98/2000/XP, this feature can be activated and customizedunder the screen saver setting of the display properties.1. Right click on the desktop and choose Properties.2. Click on the tab that says Screen Saver. If your system supports Green PC,there will be a section entitled “Energy Saving Features of Monitor.” If thereisn’t a section like that, then your PC does not support Green Monitor. It allows the monitor to inform the host system of its identityand, depending on the level of DDC used, communicate additional informationabout its display capabilities.The DDC2B is a bidirectional data channel based on the I²C protocol. The hostcan request EDID information over the DDC2B channel.THIS MONITOR WILL APPEAR TO BE NON-FUNCTIONAL IF THERE IS NO VIDEOINPUT SIGNAL. IN ORDER FOR THIS MONITOR TO OPERATE PROPERLY,THERE MUST BE A VIDEO INPUT SIGNAL.This monitor meets the Green monitor standards as set by the Video ElectronicsStandards Association (VESA) and/or the United States EnvironmentalProtection Agency (EPA) and The Swedish Confederation Employees (NUTEK).This feature is designed to conserve electrical energy by reducing powerconsumption when there is no video-input signal present. When there is novideo input signal this monitor, following a time-out period, will automaticallyswitch to an OFF mode. This reduces the monitor's internal power supplyconsumption. After the video input signal is restored, full power is restored andthe display is automatically redrawn. The appearance is similar to a "ScreenSaver" feature except the display is completely off. The display is restored bypressing a key on the keyboard, or clicking the mouse.

If the frequency is not correct, the screen shows verticalstripes and the picture has not correct width.FOCUS adjusts the phase of the pixel clock signal.
