A range of optional accessories are offered with the CE8640B (sealed RJ45, DB9 (RS232) and USB host connectors, integrated 1D and 2D barcode reader (CMOS imager), 1D laser barcode scanner, and desktop and vehicle
cradles), consequently allowing the unit to be customized and built to all industry requirements.
Integrated into the CE8640B are a PC Card and SDIO slot allowing for added memory or optional peripheral
devices.
Staying productive in the field is made easy with a 2400 mAH Lithion-Ion battery (fast swappable) which provides 2 to 4 working days under typical environments.
The CE8640B provides ultimate ruggedness
in all environments, being rated IP67 (sealed
against immersion) and meeting MIL-STD-810F
standards for humidity, rain, immersion, and
free fall drops.
Extend the reach of your handheld from the field by choosing the Wireless Edition (Bluetooth, 802.11b/g).
Featured with the Xscale (Bulverde) processor (520 MHz), the CE8640B provides increased speed to enhance
field performance and effectiveness. Fitted with Windows CE 5.0 Operating System, the CE8640B will allow you
to utilize essential applications.
Memory storage for your data is assured with the CE8640B – 256 MB Storage Flash and 128 MB SRAM, with
optional additional storage via the PC Card and SDIO slot.
With a 1/2 VGA color LCD (STN transflective) touch screen display, users can view applications in various lighting environments whether indoors or outdoors.
The CE8640B offers a highly rugged 64-key keypad (QWERTY or AZERTY) that allows for easy data-entry even
when used with gloves.
