This is the default setting for Traxxas iD batteries. The EZ-Peak Live Dual performs a balance charge quickly and efficiently. The fast charge LiPo setting is for occasional use only. LiPo batteries that become severely out of balance over time can create a hazard if one or more cells are discharged below the recommended safe voltage during use. See additional warnings and precautions in the beginning of this manual. WARNING: FIRE HAZARD! Fast Charge Fast charges your batteries without balancing the cells. Stops charging when the batteries are fully charged or when the first cells reach peak voltage. Depending on the batteries, this may reduce the charge time by a few minutes. Storage Charge Makes it easy to charge or discharge batteries to the proper storage voltage. Use this mode whenever batteries will be stored unused for more than 7 days. The default LiPo charge setting is Balance Charge. You can change the LiPo charge setting, if desired. 3. Charging priority is given to the right charger output port once the MAXX charge button is pressed; the left charger output port remains active, but will charge the connected battery at a decreased charge rate. Press the MAXX charge button. The button will flash for 3 seconds, and then turn solid green to indicate MAXX charge is active. Follow the charging steps for Traxxas iD NiMH or LiPo batteries. The EZ-Peak Live App (available in the Apple App Store or on Google Play™) gives you access to additional features, such as a high-definition graphical user interface, remote monitoring and alerts for up to 4 chargers, detailed live charging information, and access to full manual controls (see Advanced Mode on page 19). Remote monitoring via the EZ-Peak Live App is not a substitute for being present to watch over and tend to batteries being charged. Please see the warning about this on page 18. Traxxas EZ-Peak Live Application iD Battery Specifications Connected Chargers (up to 4) EZ-PEAK LIVE DUAL • 17 The EZ-Peak Live App contains a passcode-protected safety lock that limits the charger to iD-only operation, even when connected to the app on another iOS® or Android™ device. This feature allows the charger to be locked so that inexperienced users (such as children) do not have access to manual settings for the charger and the risks associated with using manual settings (see Warnings on page 2). iD-Only Safety Lock When EZ-Peak Live Dual is connected, you have the ability to configure the charger remotely from the app or you can use the buttons on the charger. EZ-Peak Live Dual will not allow you to start the charging process remotely via the app. It is important to verify visually at the charger that the connected batter(ies) match the charge mode indicated on the face of charger. Once your charge settings are visually confirmed by you, press and hold the Start button on the charger for 2 seconds to begin charging. Once charging has started, you can view charge progress and stop the charging process at any time from the app. When the charge process is completed, the EZ-Peak Live App will play the charge complete alert tone. These alerts can be adjusted in the app settings.
