Duplex TheairFiberAF5Usupportsbothhalf‐duplexandfull‐duplexoperation.Half‐duplexoperationprovidesmorefrequencyplanning
optionsatthecostofhigherlatencyandthroughput.Full‐duplexoperationprovidesthehighestthroughputandlowestlatency;however,
youhavefewerfrequencymanagementoptions.

Werecommendusingapairofinstallersinconstantcommunicationbecauseinthefinetuningstage,oneinstallermakesazimuthand
elevationadjustmentsononeairFiberradiowhiletheotherinstallerreportsthereceivedsignallevelattheotherairFiberradio.(Fine‐
tuningisnecessarybecausethemainlobeofthereceiverismorenarrowthanthatofthetransmitter,inbothazimuthandelevation.)
ToaccuratelyaligntheairFiberradiosforbestperformance,youMUSTalignonlyoneendofthelinkatatime.
Formoreconvenientalignment,youmayconsiderusinglongrangescopes(notincluded)temporarilyattachedtoyourairFiberradios.
Youmayneedtouseadditionalhardwaretocompensateforissuessuchastheimproperorientationofamountingpoleorsignificant
elevationdifferencesbetweentheairFiberradios.

AdjusttheazimuthandelevationoftheSlaveuntiltheotherinstallerseesthestrongestreceivedsignalleveldisplayedontheLED
